Dr. James Michael Calhoun, MD

He is a butcher. My daughter was an active 28 yr old who had a bright future. She went in for a simple procedure. He drilled through at a wrong angle and caused major damage. Then he just backed out and left it more damaged. Drs have tried for years to fix it with no luck. Damage to the nerves were irreparable.She's now in a wheelchair for life. Constant pain and misery. He has a history of this and the medical board is ignoring it in Arkansas and other states.

He should never be allowed to touch anybody. After he operated on me I could not turn my head right, left, or look down, going on four years now. I lost my ability to work and my career. I've been in constant pain for four years and have to take narcotics every day. Driving is difficult and every day is just a pathetic existence from start to finish. I have to lie down several times a day. He made me so much worse than before the surgery. I had a medical specialty and a job that I loved to do and was doing every day. He did what paid him the most and not what I needed. He told me nothing goes wrong with the level below the one he operated on which I said corresponded to the symptoms I was having. Big liar. I didn't need pain medicine before the surgery and after I need narcotics every day all day. Going on four years now. Nobody could fix what he did. He does not care at all about the patient. Only his bank account. He definitely did his part to make Arkansas the worst state for health… care.

I'm still in constant burning pain a year and a half later after he operated on my cervical spine. I lost my ability to work and career after he operated on me. He will operate if he sees any reason to and not because he believes that you will get better. Everything got much worse after he operated. I hate every day now since he operated on me. STAY AWAY!!

He did now 2 surgeries on my lower back. He is the best surgeon I have ever seen in the now 6yrs of pain. He tells you everything to expect before during and after the surgery. I will continue to use him for all my back problems.

Surgery went great, no problems.

Horrible experience. My appointment was moved the week before my surgery. Had to sit all day and wait for surgery in pain and hungry.

Dr Calhoun left me with a dural tear calling multiple times for 3 weeks.

Dr. Calhoun and his staff are the best I've ever encountered. I would recommend him to anybody. They truly care about you and that is very hard to come by. I wish I could use Dr. Calhoun for all my medical needs. Excellent! !

The staff in this office are very polite. The waiting time was the shortest I have ever waited. Dr Calhoun spent plenty of time with me and listened to what I had to say. He has real compassion.
