I saw this guy during the pandemic, and he was so much more harmful than helpful. If he hadn’t been recommended to me, I probably would have realized sooner (e.g., a racist joke, flippant comment about my parking, no mask without regard for my preferences/safety, rude agenda-based assumptions, very poor understanding of domestic abuse, toxically masculine, sexist, condescending, egotistical, and so unconscious), but I gave him a longer shot because of that recommendation. I am reviewing him now because I am going through my journal from that time and remembering how utterly toxic he was. DO NOT SEE THIS GUY. He has violated ethics in at least two different ways, and I am so disgusted even thinking about his behavior now (especially when I confronted him and he responded defensively, petulantly, and in a victim blaming way). Utterly ignorant old white guy.
