Dr. James S Chesley JR., MD

I had to find another gastro Dr because he is rude and talk down to me. If I ask questions he'll say well get another dr if you don't take my word. I have a great dr now in Greenbelt, Md. I can ask questions without dr being rude!

Like several of the other commenters here, I found Dr. Chesley to be short and unnecessarily "smart" in his remarks. He's quite arrogant. That said I believe he cares about his patients but his manner is very off-putting and he doesn't really listen to you. I think I'd rather have a dr. who is competent AND listens.

He was very short and abrupt with me following a test.

I have been seeing Dr. Chesley for 13 years now, he is awesome. Highly recommended.

I have visited both landover, and clinton offices, loved the service, still in my phone book, since .1988, he gets 5+ star from me.

Dr. Chesley perfomed two procedures on me and both went smooth. My last procdure (upper GI), Dr. Chesley told me everything looked great before I left, however when I got home and read the report it said I had a hiatal hernia. I was a little surprised this was not mentioned. Multiple biopsies were obtained. I called the main office and told them I never received my results. They told me Dr. Chesley would return my call. It's been a month and one week and I still have not received my results in the mail nor has anyone called me back. I'm going to keep calling or may have to physically stop by the office to get answers. This is very disappointing.

Dr. Chelsey's bedside manner is terrible. I left his office with more questions than answer. He his not friendly at all. I asked him a question about something and he got smart with me. Also, the girl working the front desk at his office is very rude. She is very abrupt. She promised to call me back with my test results and did not.When I reminded her that she was supposed to call me she got an attitude. NO thanks to this place.
