May be a great practice but if the office staff is incompetent I guess I will never find out (or the other way of looking at it is this stuff starts at the top). Telephone system often disconnects you. New patient "coordinator" does not return calls (3 messages plus a fax over 3 days and no follow-up call]. It would be fairly easy to include a recording "we are not accepting new patents" if that is the case but to just ignore calls is plain rude.

Dr. Cochran is the smartest doctor I have ever been to, he really takes an academic (maybe because he has a PhD as well as an MD?) approach to diagnosis and treatment and he is more thoughtful about disease, rather than simply following heuristics. He figured out my problem after several other doctors couldn't. Three thumbs up!

there seemed to be difficulty in differentiating between possible dementia and established severe depression. despite other professionals believing symptoms were caused by clinical depression, the doctor insisted that is was dementia and wanted patient to take medication for alzheimers. patient did not follow orders and with a psychiatrist who seemed to be more in tune with patient, the patient significantly improved with proper medical treatment of depression.

He was there when I needed him . Both in the hospital and in the office

Dr. Cochran is a brilliant doctor who figured out my problem after four other neurologists couldn't. He took an incredibly detailed history and exam, and was very compassionate. He explained everything. He is probably the smartest doctor I ever went to.
