Dr. James Charles Cohen, MD

Well I just seen doctor cohan's workman's comp employee and I figured he was like I thought just being on. Insurance side of things he tells me that my right hip has arthritis I know better but anyway that's how they are so we'll see what his results are when my attorney calls me I can see some people trying to fake their injury and get money for it but people like me that really need to get their hips fixed or whatever is suffering for it I hate it when insurance companies dictate to you and tell you what you are going to do and what you're not going to do something's got to be done with these insurance companies anyway I'll let you know what the results are

I'm sitting here in front of doctor Cohen's office building on Michigan Avenue I'm here because workman's comp insurance company is sending me here to get evaluated I already seen an orthopedic surgeon and he said I needed a hip replacement when I go in there we'll see what he has to say probably the same as everybody else he's an insurance employee so we'll see and I'll write another review when I'm out of here

Dr. James Cohen is a kept man for IME's by the insurance companies that pay him, period. This was my fourth, yes fourth IME, done by him through Travelers Ins and he completely discounted findings in an MRI, which, clearly shows tears and damage to my knee as being arthritis. What a joke he is, the only item this unscrupulous doctor of IME's is about is being paid by the insurance companies. He should lose his medical license in Illinois, actually anywhere would not be enough for the pain and suffering he is causing to non-patients for his own spoils from the insurance companies payoffs. DO NOT GO TO HIM, HE IS AN UTTERLY USELESS HUMAN BEING AND LIKEWISE FOR A DOCTOR.

I can't understand the other reviews here. I have had two separate surgeries by Dr. Cohen. He is humane, friendly and extremely competent. He explained exactly what he was going to do, did it, and provided correct post-surgical care. I have referred several other people to him and they have also been very satisfied with the care they received.

I had to see Dr. Cohen for an Independent Medical Evaluation and it took 2hrs. He did not listen to my needs or concerns he seemed more concerned for the companies money. I had an MRI done by my doctor and it showed a tear of the meniscus. My Dr. recommended surgery to fix it. Dr. Cohen said he would recommend a cortisone shot for it. When i asked him if a cortisone shot would fix the tear he said no. I don't understand what the cortisone shot would do except make the company insurance happy. So be warned if you have to see him for an Independent Medical Evaluation he is bought and paid for....

dr cohen lost all morals ethics he chooses to work for insurance companies who as we all know are the reason for the constant decline of health care he was so arrogant and blinded by the money they pay him HE DISCOUNTED A MRI,ANOTHER ORTHO DOCTOR,NURSE CASE MANAGER,MRI TECHS FINDINGS AND MY COMPLAINTS wow how blinded can one person be by money he definitely lost his morals and probably forgot how to be a ethical physician i wonder how he can go home with a clear head at night oh wait THE MONEY THE INSURANCE CO PAYS HIM TO DISPUTE CLAIMS HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING stay clear of this doctor

I would steer clear of Dr. Cohen at all costs and being a representative of IB&J I would avoid all of their Doctors as well. Dr. Cohen is one to do very little during each visit and lead you on for more visits to enable increased billing to the insurance company. Their billing practices are VERY questionable and are the reason why health care in this country is so ridiculous. Terrible experience.
