Dr. James Morgan Coombs, MD

Dr. Coombs was amazing. I had an emergency on a Friday afternoon and he saw me late on Friday, again on Saturday and Sunday. I was in surgery late Monday. He took his entire weekend and ensured I did not lose my vision or worse my whole eye. I cannot state enough positive attributes about the staff in the office. All of the staff were knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. I would have given 5+ stars if possible. As long as Dr. Coombs is affiliated, I will continuously recommend this office and any of his colleagues.

We've been going to Dr. Coombs for many years. He is nothing but a professional and I always feel comfortable about my visits there. He has done both my eyes for cataracts, plus recently he did a blepharoplasty on my eyes. After several consultations for this type of surgery I have always felt comfortable with his professionalism. The surgery turned out very well. Their office staff is always polite and courteous. That includes his technicians and his receptionists. They are so helpful. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Coombs did cataract surgery on my husband recently. Everyone from the staff at his clinic, to the staff at the River View surgery center were over the top for making my husband feel at ease. The results of the surgery were excellent. He now has 20/20 in one eye, and 20/25 in the other. The day after the 2nd eye was done, he renewed his DL and aced the vision test! Thank you Dr. Coombs and staff for giving my husband his sight back!

I had a bad experience with another doctor and had not been able to see well since my cataract surgery. My entire experience with Dr. Coombs in their lovely new Fitzhugh Clinic on parkview just south of Cheney Dr. was really great. I walked in and got an appointment one week later. I was the first appointment and waited only 5 minutes after the doors were unlocked. Ron, the technician, gave me a very careful exam with lots of informative conversation, then Dr. Coombs came in and thoroughly reviewed the refraction, showed me my old prescription vs. the new one and discussed the use of a prism to reduce my almost double vision. Both men and the front desk staff were so professional, kind, patient, and informative. I can recommend this doctor very highly.
