Dr. James Grayson Dixon, MD

Dr. Dixon is a very caring physician. He takes the time to fully explain his findings and recommendations. The staff is very helpful and they respond to your questions concerning appointments quickly. My experience with Dr. Dixon, the medical team and the office staff has been very positive.

Thought EVMS docs would be more informed and provide better care since most teach. He types the majority of the time. Whatever your concerns are he never gives you a answer. Being primary doc he should be helpful in all areas. I will show him a problem he just says Well what does the XYZ say? He will acknowledge what your showing him but does nothing but puts it on another doc. Your my primary if you see it then help me don't just refuse to treat the issue. Its a long drive to just watch him transcribe the appt and not listen and help. You wait forever for him to arrive. The assistants are rude and standoffish. We spend majority of the time going over what meds I'm on. I leave angry because I go in hoping for help and leave with nothing. He is the worst doc I hv ever had.

Slow as turtle, disrespectful, no empathy, does not listen to patient's or their family, extremely poor bedside manners. Worst experience of my life. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR.
