Dr. James Steven Dolgin, MD

Dr. Dolgin is the worst doctor I have ever seen. The entire time I was pregnant everytime I went to one of my appointments he would tell me things like " I can't beleive you are still pregnant". I had to have a C-section because of a prior Myomectomy and the reason why is so I wouldn't have contractions. Well guess what I had to wait for him from 10 pm till about 1:30am. Had bad contractions actually was in full labor. To follow I ended up in the hospital 12 days after giving birth with a very bad infection from the C-Section. I only saw him the day I got realesed from the hospital to go home. I would never ever go back to him and hope if someone is looking for a good Dr. To go somewhere else!

My baby hasn't been delivered yet, but my experience so far has been terrible. The whole practice is structured so that you get as little face-time with the doctor as possible. You wait a minumum of 30 minutes every time to be seen, the doctor rushes, and if you have questions afterwards you have to call a nurse and leave a message and often they don't get back to you for at least 24 hours. I had a transvaginal ultrasound performed by a trainee (without me being asked permission) who had no idea what she was doing and it was very painful and violating. The practice forgot that I needed Rhogam and I have a thyroid condition requiring frequent monitoring, and if I didn't constantly remind them of these things, the doctor wouldn't have done it.

Dr Dolgin is an ok doctor but the office is absolutely awful. Very long wait times. OK staff but not overly nice. Way too many patients - you only feel like a number there, not a person.

He was the on-call doctor when I went into premature labor. He was rude, talked down to me and did little to comfort me as I went into labor and delivered 5 weeks early. If you have a choice, please choose a different doctor. There are much better ones out there.

Dr. Dolgin is an awesome doctor.. he made me feel very comfortable at my first gynocologist visit ever. this is my first pregnancy and im looking forward to every visit. great staff.. even ppl who were just passing by down the hallway were very cheerful and it made me feel great..

Dr.Dolgin is AWFUL along with the whole practice. I would never take time out to write a review unless it was a serious issue. I was pregnant and having a few complications--spotting, cramping, unusual pain. I called the office the receptionist was RUDE, the nurse gave me all the wrong answers, and the doctor wouldn't see me.Finally I got in for an ultrasound after i had been bleeding and cramping. They did the ultrasound and Dr.Dolgin WOULDN'T take time out to see to to tell me what the ultrasound said and what was going on. I left the office in tears, and no answers at all. The nurse called me back after i called 3 times to speak with the doctor and told me i was the "mystery patient b/c my levels were going up just very slowly" I asked her if it could be ectopic after doing research and she said no absolutely not. Well low and behold I went to the ER because I was in such pain and it was ECTOPIC! I had to have emergency surgery because I had blood in my stomach!I truly not… know how this place is still in business, as I know friends and family who have had issues too. I would not trust them especially if youre pregnant!

Dr. Dolgin was the on-call doctor that my OB/GYN group uses at Valley Hospital when they are not on call. Dr. Dolgin was fabulous. His bed side manner, reassurance and guidance through my delivery was very supportive. I was a bit concerned not having one of my OB/GYN doctors deliver me, but all my fears subsided as Dr. Dolgin helped through a very safe, fast and successful delivery. Many thanks Dr. Dolgin for helping to make my experience at Valley Hospital a very memorable one.
