Dr. James Andrew Fleischman, MD

Not happy with the rushed appt. Didn't spend the time to do what I believe should have been a full exam on a post surgery eye. Totally disappointed with Fleischman.

On 12- 2- 2020 my eye was losing vision, hurting me and tearing. I went to the offices of Dr. Michael Levine on Old Boynton Road in Boynton Beach and they gave me to Dr. James A. Fleischman. He never checked my retina on the machine they have. He told me I had dry eye, and that was causing all of the problems. He sent me out of there with nothing but lubricating drops. He told me to come back in 2 weeks. By 12-16- 20, I was totally blind in that eye. When I went to another doctor, my retina was examined and the doctor told me I had a fully detached retina and needed emergency surgery. The doctor couldn't understand how Dr. Fleischman could miss this. I was sent to a retina doctor that day who also found if Dr. Fleischman had requested a 5 minute retina exam in his office, the retina could have been fixed with a simple laser procedure. Now I have 20-60 vision, with distortions such as Macropisia ( everything is smaller than normal), a permanently dilated pupil, light… sensitivity, no reading capability, and night time halos and starbursts. Because of Dr. Fleishman, I am living on one eye now.
