Dr. James Leonard Gajewski, MD

My earlier review was somehow altered and though I gave Dr Gajewski 4 stars across the board, the overall rating was changed to three stars. Simply not true! He is a absolutely a four star physician and his staff is wonderful too!

He is an amazing doctor who actually sees patients as people, rather than a paycheck or an appointment to get through. He is personable, extremely thorough, takes collaboration from other doctors as well as the patient and truly helped me at a time when no one else could.

Extremely intelligent doctor; he might keep patients waiting but it is worth waiting to have a doctor this experienced and knowledgeable. Direct "bedside manner", a no nonsense approach professional.

This doctor was on duty @ M D Anderson 1998-1999 while myself and another family member were transplanted. He was the attending for several other patients our family befriended @ the time. He was abrupt, confrontational, condescending, and down right rude to patients and nurses most days. He brought his very young child onto the floor when the rest of patients and staff were prohibited from bringing our own young relatives to the floor for viral control measures, and perpetuated rumors to the staff that my husband & I were divorcing! There are plenty of caring and compasionate hemo-oncs @ M D Anderson and the other medical fascilities. Chose carefully.
