Dr. James Nathaniel Gladstone, MD

I had a torn meniscus, and a friend of mine recommended Dr. Gladstone. I called his office and his secretary was very efficient and we set up an appointment right away. The wait was not that bad compared to other doctors I have been too. When it was my turn to see him, he gave me all of his attention, and as much time as I needed. He did an impeccable job on my knee and I would definitely recommend him to others.

Dr. Galdstone takes the time to review and understand his patience issues and factors whether non-surgical options before surgery. The wait in the office is worth it, because he makes up for it when he meets with you.I have had two surgeries 8 years apart, leading to a full knee replacement - a decision I do not regret. Both times, he and his team were patient and clear with their explainations and very attentive during my stay in the Mt. Siani NYC Hospital - they have one of the best nursing staffs anywhere.I recommend Dr Galdstone to all of my friends and family.

I have had about 4 appointments with Gladstone and he has never been less than an hour late. After waiting an hour today, I went up to desk to see what was going on and another couple was ahead of me. They had been waiting two hours and said it was the second time it happened to them. My medical needs are relatively small, so I am not commenting on the quality of his care. But unless you feel like being disrespected by being made to sit around an overcrowded office while as a matter of continuing policy the doctor overbooks, I would look elsewhere (Note: this is my experience with a lot of Mt. Sinai doctors)

Treated me for a very painful shoulder fracture. Patient, thoroughly answers all questions(even stupid ones), sensitive, warm, cheerful and fun. His staff (including xray technicians, receptionists) are also a pleasure to be around. Shoulders and knees are his specialty.
