Dr. James Lee Griffin JR., MD

He has a very poor bedside manner. He barely spoke to me. He gave me a prescription for arthritis medication when I came in with pneumonia. I am usually a very healthy 40 year old. My husband wanted me to make an appointment because every night I would get a very high fever with aches and chills. This had been going on for weeks. After picking up my medicine, I took my daily dose when my fever started that night. The following day when my fever started to climb, I called the nurse and was told that I couldn't take anything to relieve my symptoms because of the arthritis medication. I broke down crying on the phone. I was practically delirious since I had a fever of 104. The nurse told me to stop taking the medication and I made another appointment with another doctor (who correctly determined that I had pneumonia after she ordered a chest x-ray). I will never see Dr. Griffin again.

I moved from New Jersey about 6 months ago and was in search for a new primary doctor. My co worker recommended this practice and I decided to see Dr. Griffin. I went in with symptoms of having post nasal drip and a horrible dry cough. Ive had issues with sinus infections for the past 15 years and usually get them in the winter so I knew what was wrong with me. I waited an hour and a half to see him and by the time I FINALLY got back there, my experience went downhill from there. He didnt tell me what was wrong with me, prescribed me vitamin d and had his nurse come in to tell me to follow up with him if my symptoms persist. I have never been so thoroughly disappointed with a physician. I ended up going to Patient First and they diagnosed me with having an upper respiratory infection (which Im still fighting off 4 days later). Knowing this, I dont understand why Dr. Griffin thought it was appropriate to send me home with just Vitamin D. It was a bad experience and I may visit this… practice again for future needs but will not be seeing this particular physician.
