Dr. James Francis Gurniak, MD

Dr. G is the best doctor in the county. He's gone above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of multiple times. What I really like is that he takes the time to ask me about my life and how I'm doing beyond those simple medical questions -- he really cares about his patients. He's also very open-minded when discussing changes to medications or alternative ideas for treatment. Overall, he's awesome and I'd highly recommend him!

Not only did I disclose after a year of being under Dr. Gurniak's care that I would fail the drug test I was given to take; I was then sent a hand written letter to an old address saying I was terminated based on the tests results. I was hung up on and ignored when I tried to seek further care and refill the vital daily non-narcotic medications. This abrupt wrongful termination resulted in inability to find replacement doctor and an adverse impact on mental health.

I visited this practice because of stomach issues that I was having and was told that I had a bacterial infection. I was prescribed a medicine that was in the same family group as one that they knew I was allergic to. After being on the medicine a few days, I called the practice to complain about side effects. The doctor told me that I was just dehydrated. A week after being on the medicine, I was rushed to the hospital due to an anaphylactic reaction. I returned the next day to this practice to check my records to see if my allergy was documented and it was! The supervisor at the practice even had the nerve to make me pay a copay to speak to the doctor. I am going on my third month of GI problems due to this doctor diagnosing me with an infection that I never had. I had the norovirus and a doctor should know that can't be cured by an antibiotic. I would not recommend this practice to anyone!
