Dr. James Joseph Heffernan, MD

Dr. Heffernan is the most intelligent, compassionate, wonderful human beings in the world. He 'out-classes' almost every one of his peers. And at the same time he is funny and there is always a grin behind his patient face if you;d like to say he has one. He can weed out a problem better than the best farmer and he won't let go of a medical issue that is hiding. He never forgets...or almost always never. He has been my primary care physician for almost 23 years. I picked him up when we both worked at the old Boston City Hospital and he was saving lives of the downtrodden in the Primary Care Clinic and i was a RV in the ER. The Good Doctor makes me cry!

I appreciate Dr heffernan for his mellow style combined with a great diagnostic ability. But most impressive is his great follow up. I always feel like I have all of the information From any tests almost immediately after my visit and his letters tie everything together to present a clear picture of my overall health. I am grateful to have him as my primary physician.
