Dr. James Garbis Henry, MD

James Henry, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and palliative care, a specialized care focused on managing the pain, symptoms, and stress of serious illness. Dr. Henry earned his medical degree at Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency at the Olive View-UCLA Internal Medicine Residency Program. He also completed a fellowship in palliative medicine at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Henry comes from a family of educators. He was influenced greatly by his grandfather, a doctor who taught at the USC School of Medicine. Dr. Henry taught high school biology for five years before attending medical school. He chose palliative care because he wants to help patients and their families get through difficult times in their lives. When Dr. Henry is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their labrador retriever. English, he is fluent in Armenian.
