Dr. James Kenneth Hensarling, MD

I was referred to Dr. Hensarling by another physician. I called Hensarling's office numerous times during a four-day period and left multiple messages. No one bothered to return my calls. I scheduled an appointment with another physician. There is no excuse for poor customer service in a private medical practice.

From the first visit he pin pointed my health issue set up treatment and answered my questions. If i go in with health issues he will get you answers or point you in the right direction.

When you drive past a restaurant and there are no cars in the parking lot it tells you they are probably not very good. Same thing goes for doctors with no patients. When we arrived there were no patients and they still made us wait and half and 15 minutes. When we were seen Dr. Hensarling walked into the room and announced a "diagnosis" before he ever talked to us. He never did an examination. When we tried to ask questions he shut us down by saying, "I have been a doctor for 30 years, I know what I am talking about." I was less than impressed with this doctor and will find another rheumatologist for the future.

The staff and Doctor seem very knowledgeable and caring. You will have a wait as with most offices but I have never waited overly long. Dr. Hensarling is courteous and efficient but not overly friendly or a time waster. He has been very helpful in answering questions about my disease and has never been over zealous in prescribing anti-depressant or narcotics. I would recommend this doctor to anyone!

Needs to listen to the patients more. They're the ones who has the illness. Prescribes too many anti depressants for illnesses. I don't think I will continue to see him. Looking for another doctor

Dr. Henserling is an excellent rheumatologist. He stays up to date on the latest medications for all autoimmune diseases. His bedside manner may be a little off for some because he has a dry sense of humor. He does not like to prescribe narcotics for pain! The wait time in the office is usually at least 30 min. up to 1 hour. The wait time in the room for him is about another 30 to 45 minutes. I have been with Dr. Henserling for 11 years now.
