Dr. James Anthony Holt, MD

I was there for an appointment to see Dr. Holt. And once I saw him, not only did I have to wait almost an hour. He was nothing but rude and short with me. He didn't care about my visit. He rushed me even though I waited almost an hour to see him! His nurse was even rude to me when I was nothing but nice and courteous to both of them. He is very arrogant and rude. Doctors are suppose to be caring and compassionate. And he was not like that at all.

I had an appointment with Dr. Holt and he was nothing but rude to me and did not help me with my reason for my visit. He is arrogant never let me talk. Repeatedly said the same thing over and over. Even his nurse was rude. A doctor is suppose to care for you and show compassion and respect. And I did not receive that at all.

Dr. Holt and his staff were nothing but rude to me and did not help me with my reason for visit at all. He was nothing but rude and arrogant, did not listen to me at all! Even the nurse practitioner was not very nice to me. I will not recommend him to anyone! Not even my worst enemy.

I had my 1st with Dr Holt a couple of weeks ago. My 1st impressions were this doctor comes off kinda aggressive,arrogant, talks extremely fast. He doesn’t stop to hear your replies or ask if u have any questions. It’s good that I have an understanding of my treatment. He seems to generalize my replies in a box with everyone’s else symptoms that has same diagnoses. I have Hashimoto’s disease and diabetes. That is why my PCP referred me Dr Holt. He said that he will take on the Hashimoto but my PCP can continue with diabetes care. But he proceeded to order a different diabetic med to go along with my current diabetic med to assist with weight loss. He says My PCP can continue with refills of new med along with current one. That’s presumptuous of him. The office/nursing staffs are extremely laid back in answering calls and returning calls. They don’t have answer to anything! Every questions has to be relayed back to MD, even the on call doctor is the same way. … Questions has go to through original ordering doctor. I guess I will have better feel in next couple visits. And if my blood level normalize through medication regimen.

had issues....doctor doesnot call you back....girl at desk does and can't answer questions. guy interested in numbers....not people

I would not choose this doctor again. He does not listen very well. He makes the same comments to concerns I have over and over again even when I have told him repeatedly over the past three years that his comments do not apply to me. I guess he thinks I am lying. The only service he has provided for me is ordering lab work and prescribing medication. His attitude was very unprofessional during my last visit, which has been annually for the past two years. Some of the comments he made were totally unnecessary and he presented himself as arrogant. I will seek the service of another physician.

We found Dr. Holt to be rude and arrogant. He did not seem to care about my or my mother's side effect concerns. His prescriptions did not interact well with each other, and it took too long to get help with this.Due to a lack of another office in Concord, we will be going to Charlotte.

Dr.Holt is taking great care of the patient.has a great knowledge of his field.only the problems is he or his staff don't give free sample,usally doctors office does get samples.any way beside that I'm happpy over all.

Dr. Holt is a thoughtful, caring, and well-trained doctor. I feel very secure in his care, and believe he is an expert in his field. His office staff, however, is not responsive and will repeatedly ignore patients to finish personal conversations. Many times patients will stand at the window, and will not be recognized for minutes. Even if the office staff is busy, they should greet the patients and tell them they will be right with them. Personal conversations should cease until the patient has been adequately assisted. Also, I have seen staff ignore the phones; it usually takes a few calls to get a live person.
