Dr. James Henry Jen Kin JR., MD

This is my first time seeing a psychiatrist. I just never believed they could help me... I have only been seeing dr Jen Kin for five months and he has made all the difference in a positive way for me. He helped so much by listening, respects my emotions, he so compassionate and doesn’t judge me, he even helped me get back to work even with all my fears! I am not fully recovered but I know I am in good hands! Thank you Dr kin

On my last visit I was fed up with his rudeness and lack of caring. I found a new psychiatrist who actually listened and I started receiving the treatment I needed for so long. I am so glad I decided not to go back.

Please avoid this pseudo doctor at all costs. He is demeaning, belittling, condescending and rude the entire time you see home. You’re not even allowed to speak to him. He will shush you immediately. His license should be revoked.

Dr. Jenkins is the most cold hearted person very rude and non companionate. Has no people skills never the less has compassion for his patients. I tried to ask questions after him "experimenting" on my mother for 14 years and all he did was STOP me and question me instead. Not once looked at my mother and said something positive. This man needs to stop being so arrogant and look up the definition for the word HUMBLE. I wonder what makes him such a sour person and show no care for his patients, after all is his patients whom pay for his luxurious office. I would love for him to read this review and maybe UNDERSTAND that his arrogance just diminish his patients more than how they already feel. I'm saying bc of y mother whom trusted him for years. My moms depression makes her feel less of person and with his attitude just makes it worse.

He's one of only two psychiatrists that have listened to what I was experiencing, and took me seriously. I have been misdiagnosed in the past, and it can be frustrating. On my second or third visit, I was so relieved when the treatment plan he prescribed actually helped me that my eyes teared up, and Dr. Jen Kin expressed a genuine happiness for me. Sometimes the wait in the lobby is long, but it is worth it. I appreciate that he is straight forward and keeps the visits short. We go over how I have been, how the medication is affecting me, etc. I have a psychologist for longer/deep conversations if/when I need them. Dr. Jen Kin has always been respectful, professional, kind, and has occasionally he makes really funny jokes (dry humor).

I have been going to Dr. Jen Kin for almost two years. My first visit I hated because his demeanor was not welcoming and seemed cold. However after that visit he knew me and understood my issues and got right down to the real problem. Yes he is not as empathetic as other Doctors may be but he is thorough about the issues and medication. He helped fluctuant the medication with me and was very patient and attentive. Thankfully I am now balanced thanks to him. Unfortunately my new insurance gave me faulty information. I requested an insurance that specifically he would accept but unfortunately they were wrong. I am very sad I have to see a new doctor because I really do love Dr. Jen Kin.

He is cold and uncaring, will not greet you by name, interrogate you vs inquire about your well being. He swore curse words at me, accused me to altering prescriptions on a pharmacy error. He is judgmental, unfeeling, more interested in a turn & burn practice than making sure his patients are cared for. Appointments are 10 min max. Go seek treatment elsewhere. Avoid this man.

A patient should not be made to feel guilty for requesting medicine. I asked for medicine I had been taking for years, something that truly improved my quality of life. When I pushed for it he reprimanded me and went on to tell me how much trouble I'd put him through. Do not recommend

Went to him for lifelong depression issues and he got down to business. I cried ln my first visit and he was accepting and understanding, but not interested in wallowing. He wanted me to explain the emotions and thoughts behind my crying and use it to tell him my root problem, not just cry. He is NOT there to coddle, he does not waste time. That could turn some people off. He asks the questions that matter and wants a straight answer. No wishy washy answers. I appreciate that. And he has helped me so much. Happy to be a patient.

He helped me out greatly with his diagnosis and I'm happier then I've ever been.
