Dr. James C Kent, MD

He's a Canadian doctor that gets to the point. I don't expect to pay him for humor and being courteous. He gets to the root of the problem and is very good in his prognosis is dead on before results to determine a diagnosis.

If you need a serious medical doctor and care Dr. Kent is your doctor. His staff is the best organized, totally professional, and is the most helpful. No matter if it is a chronic disease like Diabetes or a sudden hit with an aneurysm or even something weird like a fast moving infection streaming up your leg towards your heart...he loses no time and gets you the treatment you need. I agree with another reviewer here that I can not conceive this staff providing poor care. For about 20 years Dr. Kent was my physician and his staff truly cared for me and about me. He listened and he asked questions and he always always always asked me if there was anything else and if I had any other questions. He has a medical lab facility. If your goal is to live long and prosper then he is your doctor. He saved me a few times! One time it was Christmas and he diagnosed a critical condition and set up everything for a trip to Potomac Hospital which saved my life! And he did follow-up!

The staff is terrible, the wait time was two hours (seriously why do you have appointment times), and the doctor himself seemed disinterested in what was going on with me. Web MD is a better doctor than James Kent

Dr. Kent has a volume business with a half dozen rooms for one doctor. You sit in the waiting room for 20 minutes to over an hour and then eventually get called to a room to wait another 15-30 minutes to actually see the doctor. Of course they have already collected your co-pay. His bedside manner is a lot like House except lacking the genius. He is smart but he assumes everyone else is a moron.If you just need a prescription, go here. It's a specialty.

The wait time is exceptionally long. He is only interested in taking your money. Doesn't care about you. Avoid him if possible. Staff is grumpy.

I think he is a no nosense Dr. who give you the right information straight. I have been with him for about 9 yrs. he was the first Dr. I had when i moved to woodbridge. I like and my Kids like and the staff is great.

I found the wait time EACH time to be totally unacceptable. Dr. Kent does not have a lot of personality and is very "matter of fact" but that doesn't bother me as much as the wait time involved.

I have had Dr. Kent as my Dr. for 12 years and have had no problem with his care or his staff. My adult son has also been going to him also. We both have had good experiences with him and he does care. His approach is to diagnosis and treat your problem. If medications are expensive he does give you samples to ease the financial burden. His office visits are extremely affordable. What great care he has given to me and my son, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Very poor bedside manner and does not listen to you.

Dr,. Kent is the only doctor I've been to who actually seems to care that I am financially strapped right now and is generous with giving me samples. My meds are really expensive and he is the only doctor I ever had who sympathizes with my situation by helping me with coupons and ways to save money. Besides that, he is helping get off Lipitor by monitoring me on a weight loss program. These people really care about me.
