Dr. James Christian Kringel, MD

It's very scary that there is doctors like this still in practice. He declined to rule out any medical possibilities and linked my symptoms to a historic diagnosis without an assessment or further testing. This is why the ER's are full. Doctors not doing basic standard of care. - (neg)10/10 rating

Kringel failed to follow cancer markers and said our father had pneumonia when it was actually stage IV lung cancer. Kringel did not respond to our father for weeks as his cancer worsened. Appointments were cancelled, and requests for medical leave from work, as our father could not wor., were ignored. Our father's cancer progressed to respiratory failure, resulting in an ER visit when it should not have. We finally got care in the ER, but it shouldn't have got that far. After our father finally saw Kringel after being officially diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, Kringel ended our Dad's appointment within 3 minutes saying there was nothing he could do (this is indisputable, it's automatically recorded in the visit notes). No pointing to resources, referral to oncology, or even 'Sorry that you have cancer.' We are simply in disbelief of this level of care.

Not professional and doesn't seem to care about my concerns. I had a TIA in the fall. Thankfully I recovered and needed a follow-up w my PCP. Dr. Kringle stated, "old people have strokes". He did not ask any questions to try and find out why I had a TIA. I will be switching to a provider that cares about his patients unlike Dr. Kringle.

This “doctor” is dismissive. Will ignore anything you tell him and rush you out the door while you’re sitting down. Dismisses all of your symptoms and writes in your past visit summary that you’re a hypochondriac in a few words. Did not provide any care and was apprehensive to prescribe my normal medication prescribed to me for years.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Kringel. I don't go to the doctor very often and had been saving up all the things I needed to talk to my PCP about (referrals, medications, knee problems). Dr. Kringel listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions, and made me feel like a part of the the decisions that were made. He made sure I had the correct follow up care, referred me to the right doctors and told me why he recommended them. He returned my emails quickly and understood where I was coming from and why I was seeking treatment. And I never felt rushed, he spent a lot of time making sure received the treatment I needed. Such great patient care!! He is awesome. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

Entered exam room without knocking. Terrible bedside manner. Treated me like crap and misdiagnosed my shoulder/neck pain. Not caring at all. I would never go back to him. Ever.

Dr. Kringle was my PCP for nearly 2 years. Being a retired Marine who also grew up as a Navy brat, I've had experiences with many doctors, with the military, with VA, and in the civilian sector. I count Dr. Kringle among the finest Doctors in my experience! He helped me through terrible pain and serious depression with professional concern, timely care, referrals, and follow ups. Under his care my blood pressure came under control and improved. Unfortunately I recently moved to Arizona and can only hope to find someone of his caliber here. As for someone's comment about the doctor being Mormon, so what? I'm a religious person myself (not-LDS) and I can say with complete honesty his faith never entered any doctor-patient discussions, even though I brought my own faith up to on one ocassion.

I asked him for a referral to dermatology to have pre cancerous lesions checked. I had this proceedure done by them before. But when I got to his office he said he could do it, grabbed the nitrogen and proceeded to burn them off. He left the nitrogen on my head in one place way to long and burned my head. The spot got infected, Shingles occured, and I spent 5 days in the hospital in San Diego! I'm not counting the 5 doctors Kaiser sent me to so someone could figure out what the problem was. RUN FROM HIM AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

Best doctor I have ever met.
