Dr. James Lagucik

Perfect doc, not much can be said

Dr. James is very thorough in his plan of care, helps patients to find the best ways to approach And to improve. He is very knowledgeable, and empathetic answered all my questions and concerns without brushing me off. I’m very glad he is now my new pcp, I would highly recommend to others.

I've seen this doctor several times already, and each time I felt that he was listening to me attentively and answering my questions thoroughly and patiently (rather than dismissing my questions and concerns as other doctors have done), while exhibiting an excellent understanding and grasp of my health issues. He's not one to send you to have dozens of tests done unless he really thinks they're in order. His staff is also wonderful --thorough and caring, which is very important. He is an excellent family doctor, in my opinion, and I recommend him without reserve to anyone that needs a doctor that really has his patients' best interests at heart.

Jimmy was knowledgeable and very courteous. I recommend him to anyone who needs a primary docter in Chicago.

I hate doctors. I think a lot of them are arrogant, have become jaded, apathetic, and cynical over time, and they rake in the money while treating their patients as cash cows, without actually having helped them. Not all doctors are like this and do this, of course, but many are, and as many do. So when my family doctor retired (and he was one of the good ones), I despaired of finding a replacement for him. However, since I eventually had to see a doctor, I wound up making an appointment to see Dr. Lagucik. To my great surprise and delight, this energetic young doctor from the first exuded confidence, empathy, sincerity, a real interest in his patient, and a keen desire to help. Dr. Lagucik talked with me (not at me), heard me out, asked pertinent questions, and I felt that he was trying to get a good sense of what bugged me, ailed me, made me tick, and make me sick. We spoke of many things, and together we agreed on a course of action that may (or may not) help me. I don't… know what the future holds for me, but having seen Dr. Lagucik is a good start because he's intelligent, capable, and he cares. I truly recommend him to everyone and anyone that's been disappointed in his or her doctors once too often.

This junior doctor was recommended by the other office, because they were busy. I arrived a little late, I admit (11 minutes) and was told to reschedule. The nurse behind the desk, said she never seen this before. At least, a god doctor would have come and meet the patient recommended from his college, maybe short consultation.
