A graduate of Northwestern University Medical School and completed residencies in Dermatology at the University of Maryland and Internal Medicine at Harvard University. He also completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship and holds a Masters Degree in Public Health. He is board-certified and has been in practice for over 9 years. Dr. Lahti specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery but is available for medical as well as surgical dermatology, including cosmetic procedures. He is in the office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Dr. Lahti and his staff are so professional and from the moment you walk through the office door, the entire staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They explained everything they were doing during the procedure and the instructions for after care were thorough and easy to understand. The office runs like a well-oiled machine and the follow-up with a call from Dr. Lahti himself the evening after the procedure and the staff the next morning is exceptional.

I had a very positive experience with Dermatology Partners of North Shore and Dr. James Lathi. The entire team was courteous and professional throughout my visit. They made sure I was comfortable while waiting for my biopsy results, which helped ease any anxiety I had. Dr. Lathi followed up with me personally that evening after the procedure to check on how I was doing — a thoughtful touch that really stood out. I truly appreciate the care and attention I received and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of dermatological services.

This doctor cut out an enormous piece of skin - completely healthy - on the first shot, did not follow Mohs procedure at all. Worst medical experience.

Dr. Lahti performed MOHS surgery on my forehead earlier this month. He has great bedside manner, he and his staff are compassionate and efficient, and he left very small scar. Plus, he called me that evening to check up on me.
