Dr. James E Loveless, MD

I am an involved, long-term, patient of Dr. James Loveless and am extremely happy with my care. What I mean by involved is, I research the various medications, read literature, and take responsibility for my half of patient care. Dr. Loveless and I monitor how effective my medications are and he lets me know of any new FDA approved options. When other physicians see Dr. Loveless is one of my doctors, they always say something to the effect of, "Good, he is very knowledgeable and conscientious." Dr. Loveless always asks not only how I'm feeling, but also how I'm doing emotionally and how my energy level is doing. I also know he will spend as much time with me as I need, which when he is running late for my appointment, I take into account because he has more than me for a patient. Dr. Loveless treats me with respect, kindness, and helps me be an active participant in my own care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Loveless since about 2010; I count on him to give me all the facts, options, and additional sources of information to enable me to make informed decisions about my health and treatment options.

Saw this doctor for years. Felt like they just kept experimenting on me with different medications and trials. Then, I was told I had autoimmune hepatitis and needed to see a gastro doctor. Went to the gastro doctor and they couldn't understand why the doctor would make such a claim! It was totally unfounded! Got my records from the doctor and of course...none of that information was even in the records. Still showed I had undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease! Requested to see the other doctor and was told that as a courtesy, they do not accept each others patients! If I wanted to see another doctor, I would have to go to a totally different clinic. Protect the doctors.....but let's not care about the actual patients and their treatment!!!!

Dr.Loveless initially struck me as a bit cold, however, I have been going to him for almost five yeas and I have discovered that is not at all the case. He is very caring and shows geniune interest in my health, he just has a quiet, reserved disposition. He has not just spent a great deal of time with me, but he has contacted my podiatrist on one occasion, regarding a foot surgery. My podiatrist said he was blown away by Dr. Loveless's level of professionalism and genuine concern. I have a great deal of respect for this doctor and feel fortunate to be in his care.

You'll appreciate his careful attention to detail.

His name says it all love-less! THis man has no compassion. After waiting 45 minutes to see him (my appt was at 9 - he came in at 945) he was short, belittleing, and it seemed he blamed me at times for my pain. I will NEVER go back to this doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Loveless for a couple years. I have found him very friendly and an excellent doctor. He really knows his stuff. If you are suffering with RA, I do not think you could find a better doctor. He makes me feel like I am his only patient, he always give you the time you need to talk to him.
