Dr. James Paul Maddox, MD

I Trust Dr. Maddox with my Life, He has proved Worthy. He is a great surgeon and His Son also. His Daughter is amazing also. A man of Faith. Our whole family has trusted him for years and he has not let us down. He is responsible for the surgery but we are responsible with the Grace of God for the healing and recovery. We have to have the right mindset and do what is required for a good recovery as the True healer is Christ as this good Dr. recognizes. He has demonstrated time after time for us he truly cares. He has the hands and Heart of a Healer.

I was in pain from what I thought might be nerve damage or back pain. I got in to see the Dr. the next day and he immediately got me x-Rays and diagnosed my problem. Scheduled an epidural the next day and "fixed" me. He has great bedside manner and is unbelievably knowledgeable. He took the time to hear what I had to say and gave me more than one option. I would go back to him in a minute if needed.

When I called in to make appointment with a doctor I want to see. I told this doctor didn't specialize in shoulders and back. That I had to see doctor James Maddox they plan for me to see. I found out during my appointment he did specialize in what I needed. The office staff were poor didn't want to give you information just short answers. After waiting to be call back to the screening room and waited 45 minutes until the doctor came in. He came didn't speak just ask who is the patient. Start asking me about personal things telling me I nice looking lady and he don't see any thing wrong with me. Telling me if I there for any other reason he wasn't going to be my doctor. No matter how I tried to explain the reason why I there he going on and on making no sense. He didn't care how much pain I in. Rude and don't care about patients. Don't care about your problems. I would not let this man do any type surgery on me. Poor bedside manners. I rate him low as he can get. Don't go to him for… anything.

Dr. Maddox has done surgery on my very bad lower back three times and each time it gets better and better. He spends time with me and speaks to me even if I see him outside his office. His staff is professional and caring. My last surgery he worked until 9:30 at night on me, because he had an emergency come in prior to mine. Would reccommend him to anyone anytime, would allow him to do surgery on my mother.

My wife was scheduled for a 8:00am Appt. We were told to arrive a half hour early(7:30), at 8:05 called back to the screening room. After my wife and I waited for 65 minutes still not having seen the doctor we left. My wife and I felt disrespected for such a waste of our time.

DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS,WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN

I would not let this man operate on anything that had a pulse. Completely UNCARING of a person's situation. There are doctors that have a God complex, there are doctors that feel as if they are on a level above you and you are just part of their job, and then there are doctors that care about you and will go out of their way to make sure that you are taken care of. This 'man' could care less what kind of problems you are having....I think healthcare in the former soviet union was probably ten times superior to what this 'joke' offers.

dr.maddox has replaced both of my hips,replaced a knee, and performed two back surguries.he has always been a complete professional. absolutely no doubt when he gives a diagnosis.
