Dr. James Thomas Mcglynn, MD

I was able to get in to see him relatively quickly, which I appreciated, but overall, I left feeling disappointed. He seemed to have made up his mind before even coming into the room that I somehow had not completed physical therapy correctly, seemingly based on my mentioning that I had high copays. He also did not appear to have fully reviewed my chart, as he was unaware of treatments I had previously tried, and in general, I found his approach to be very dismissive. Even if his recommendations ultimately prove to be helpful, I felt his bedside manner was lacking. When you’re living with chronic pain and every provider you’re referred to either seems unable to help or simply passes you along to the next doctor, it gradually erodes your trust in the medical system. I was hoping to feel heard and that my history and concerns were being taken seriously, but unfortunately, I did not leave this appointment feeling that way.

Dr. McGlynn was excellent. He made me feel as though I was the only person that he had to. Dr. McGlynn gave me his recommendations for my follow up treatment while my test results indicates that surgery is required he allowed me to make the decision as to what I wanted. Overall, I was very pleased with our interaction.

Dr. McGlynn is great, takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, and is incredibly patient. He even took the time to address other concerns I had, which I truly appreciated. Highly recommend!"
