Dr. James William Mitchell, MD

Dr. Mitchel was my daughter pediatrician from birth.. She saw Dr . Mitchell up to 18 years old ..He was outstanding to his patients , excellent bedside manner and very thorough .. He is the best pediatrician in the Chicago area... My daughter is now 25 In medical school going into pediatrics..Dr. Mitchel had a significant impact on her life that helped her choose the career of Medicine and Pediatrics. Thank you Dr. Michell.. I have been a patient of Dr. James Mitchell since the age of 2. My 2 sisters have also been patients since birth. They are now ages 10 and 11. I was born premature causing many health issues. I was also an extremely active child with injuries from sports and rough play. Throughout my years of being a patient, I have found Dr. Mitchell to be a caring, loving, and kind doctor. Even when I was younger and was scared somehow I was comfortable once I plopped happily on the table. I have never had any issues with this doctor. This year, I will be 18. I am extremely sad to say this because Dr. Mitchell is a pediatrician. To leave the doctor I have trusted for so long who had comforted me through illness and even laughed at me when I faked an illness just to go to his office upsets me. I know not many people can say anything like this about their doctor but I can. Anytime of the night when me or my sisters are sick and he is in bed with his wife or out with his children, he will pick up his… house phone or cell phone just to give us the medical attention we need. At 3 in the morning, once a few years ago, I was stumbling in the dark to find my way to the bathroom and fell head first down the stairs. My mother, who was very distraught, rushed me to the emergency room and had them call Dr. Mitchell who was at the hospital in about 15 mins with a hospital gift shop basket and ice cream just to make sure I was okay. If there was a title or an award that I would give Dr. Jame Mitchell, it would be Most Dedicated Doctor.

Any child would be very fortunate to have Dr. Mitchell as their pediatrician.
