His surgery on my arm didn't work. Tons of pain still - worse than before. Stay away

Dr Moravek has been nothing but kind and professional with my mother. He had to come in for emergency surgery on a Sunday night. Surgery went very well and recovery has gone well also. He is very attentive during visits and addresses all concerns. I highly recommend him.

Dr Moravek's surgery has left me debilitated. I'm supposed to be fully healed, as it's been nearly a year since the operation, but instead I have horrible nerve pain. It burns so relentlessly that I'm considering suicide.

He messed up my surgery and I now have horrible pain. Don't walk, run away from this surgeon.

Dr. Moravek doesn't take post-op patient concerns seriously. Have been having horrible nerve pain and he just keeps saying nothing is wrong. I saw a surgeon at U of M who said it's most likely nerve damage caused by Dr Moravek's surgery.

First appt we waited 2hrs and 16mins to see the doctor, he spent exactly 9 mins with us. Second visit got back for x-ray promptly, waiting another 57 mins to see the doctor, who again spent about 9 mins with us, telling us PT didn't know what they were talking about, it didn't make sense, but yet he didn't bother to explain why (mind you they have been the only ones to explain how/why, etc throughout this whole process) sent for an EMG, was told would have results in 4 days, yesterday was 3 week mark, still don't have it. I assume it's normal, but since I was told I would be called either way, would like to know, keep calling just to be told Tuesday is his surgery day, and Wednesday is a clinic day....ok?? Point being? They claimed the office didn't send results until 7 days, not true, I called that office and they stated they sent it 3 days after our appt. This office is a joke, and unfortunately he is elbow care thru SJMH and IHA on lockdown, no one would give a second opinion. … Very disappointed.

He didn't listen to our concerns with my mother's health history and didn't take the necessary steps to make sure she didn't get an infection before and after surgery, he was never proactive with her care and history. Same with St. Joe's emergency room, they didn't do what they should've either. No one took the precautionary steps to prevent an infection, nor handled it correctly when another hospital and her family felt she had an infection coming on and my mother ended up dying from septic shock. Had they listened to us and done things correctly, she may still be here. Maybe next time when he has a patient with history of infections, he'll listen and be proactive.

Dr. Moravek is easy to understand, patient focused and has a very practical results oriented approach to providing you the best care possible.

I had surgery and it was not done correctly. I had several complications afterwards which he did not want to address it. I had to have the surgery redone by a different surgeon at another hospital. No compassion. Wait over one hour for visits. Not recommend.
