Dr. James Sungsik Park, MD

After waiting for over 3hrs, the Doctor does not spend time with his patients. Most of the time is spent talking with his assistant. Not a lot of time for questions or feeling confident about the Doctor. No thorough examination performed.

The 2 receptionist were very rude, and they acted unprofessional. I arrived at 1:30 for my appointment, but they did not allow me to see the Doctor until 4:30pm. They were not accommodating. They also changed my name without my knowledge. They were also rude to the other clients in the waiting room.

Dr. Park was extremely attentive and explained very thoroughly. I asked him a number of questions about my condition, which he was then able to answer very clearly and thoroughly and I highly recommend him. He is a brilliant man.

The first appointment or two will leave you pleased with Dr. Park's attentiveness, knowledge, and concern. After that you will be kept waiting for appx. 30 minutes past your appointment time, and you will see Dr. Park's assistant. He will ask you the same questions you've answered repeatedly, which should certainly be listed in your patient file. While some of these questions are for updating your condition, many of them are unnecessarily repetitive, as they are based on information you've already supplied at least once before. After some time, the physician's assistant will call Dr. Park in to speak with you for about one minute, and will mostly repeat things he's already told you. My last three appointments have all been handled by his assistants (the last one by a newer assistant than the one who saw me twice before that.) This person actually said as he was finished questioning me that he would now call Dr. Park in to say hello, and shake my hand. He then tried to rephrase that so… it didn't seem that was all Dr. Park was going to do, but that's exactly what happened. I was referred to Dr. Park based on his skill, expertise, and experience, not his assistant of the month .

Excellent service all around..... Only very high praise here.

Dr. Park and his staff treat you like family. His receptionist jessica in great neck is so nice and she is beautiful!

It's very hard to review this Doctor, because when you make an appointment with him at NYU Hosp. you don't see him first, what you do see is a P.A. After the P.A spends 15 or 20 min. with you, then the P.A calls in Dr. Parks. He comes in and stands by the door. He and the P.A shoot questions back and forth for 1 or 2 minutes, then he leaves. He may or may not ask you a question.It is a strange doctors appoint.I don't like because it is the first time that I have ever seen anything like that.When you make an appoint. to see a doctor, you are suppose to see and talk to the Doctor, not someone else.I didn't come there to see a P.A, I came there to see and talk to the Doctor, and not for 1-2 mimutes.

He is the best doctor we have ran across. Pays attention to detail, always available just an email/phone call away. He is the BeST!!!

Dr. Park treats his patients like his family!
