My surgery went great with no issues so that’s a testament to the Doc’s skills. Jessica was a font of knowledge before and after. The receptionists have been nothing but kind through my multiple visits. If I could give one suggestion it would be to better arm the patient with knowledge of what to expect post care. I had to google to a lot as the post care sheet was basic.

If there is one thing this office needs its training in customer service. The office staff is very rude and snotty. I don't see how the employees can act the way they do, they will cut you off mid sentence, speak very rude and talk down to you trying to make you feel stupid. I have a lot of patience and find myself to be very understanding however there is no reason for the employees to act they way they do to patients, especially the office manager Diane you won't get any where with her. I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE going to this office. Not only did I deal with the worst office staff but I do not feel I chose the best doctor for my procedure as well, I don't think the doctor fixed my issue, he hardly listens to his patients and doesn't seem to care much. Loose loose for me, however now I know and I hope I can prevent at least some people from dealing with what I have dealt with. Save your time, money and trouble and go somewhere else.

Dr. Pennington did a wonderful job with my surgery. He is very meticulous and has a very gentle manner.

Dr. Pennington's reputation as an ENT surgeon in Pensacola is excellent from other doctors and nurses at SHH (the ones who know him best). I was apprehensive that his bedside manner was not the best (because of other reviews I had read from long ago.) I should not have worried. He was great! Friendly, talkative, reassuring, etc. In other words, everything I want in a doctor!

He was very thorough and helped me through a very difficult time with compassion.

After I talked to his nurse about my pain management concerns and being told not to worry about it Dr. Pennington cancelled my first surgery minutes before the surgery was supposed to start, so I was charged $550.00 from the surgery center cause they started IV and I took up the nurses time. Dr. Pennington said he would need to do my surgery @ a hospital so that a hospitalist could management my pain cause he doesn't prescribe morphine ( I currently take MSContin daily for pain ). 3 weeks later he does my surgery and tells my recovery nurse that a hospitalist need to manage my pain and she is told (from the hospitalist ) that it's the surgeons responsibility to manage pain of there patients. After 2 hrs of them both pointing the finger at the other one my nurse told me that they can admit me to the hospital but they won't be able to give me any pain medicine or I can go home and take the pain medicine that I had. I went home. I later found out that he didn't bother cleaning out an… infection that I told him I had in my throat.

Very rude and short. Spends about 10 minutes in the room with you before making it obvious he doesn't want to be in there and is trying to hurry out, and that's after he reschedules your appointment 5 different times for two visits and takes 5+months to follow up after a ct scan, and then wants to act as though it's an insult to him to be asked questions about what's going on. Or atleast that's how it was with me. Very bad experience, and because of this I will not be letting him operate on me any time soon.

Dr Pennington operated on my husband's malenoma that had gone into his neck and did a wonderful job! He has been cancer free for 4 years since the surgery!

My 4 y/o son was very sick. We thought we were on our way to Schands in Gainesville. Instead, Dr. Pennington agreed to perform the surgery in our area. He's a very competent doctor. He saved my son's life. I am forever grateful to Dr. Pennington!
