Dr. James Douglas Perry, MD

Dr. Perry is an awesome doctor and I would recommend him to anyone. He did surgery on my back and my arm. I exercise, work out and was able to work full time until I retired.

I think Dr. Perry is an excellent doctor. He did neck surgery on me and I was very pleased with the results. He is very confident and knows what he's talking about. He's not very talky, touchy, feely, but I don't need that. I need someone who knows how to fix my problem so I can get on with my life. Very happy with Dr. Perry.

Dr. Perry's been doing my back and hip shots since last year. The two hour wait is when the appointment is made early in the day. The later you can get in the day, the shorter the wait. He does surgery after lunch. I was able to see him once at 2:00 pm and hardly anyone was in the lobby. I got finished fast. I wasn't sure about him after the first followup visit. I thought the same about the other reviews, but the more I've gone to him, the more I am learning about how to talk with him and understand him. He is a good doctor. He will not jump into surgery unless absolutely necessary. As of now, I am not bad enough for surgery and he shows me exactly why on the screen and tells me details. He has shown me another patients same issue and the difference between my issue and that person. The difference caused him to do surgery on that person, so I know how much more mine would have to change for surgery to be done. I found that if I am assertive, he will take the time to talk… with me. Even though I still hurt some after having the shots, they are working because I can walk for a few hours instead of having to ride the motorized carts in the store, and I last longer in my work environment. When it reaches the point that I suffer badly after about 45 minutes of standing, walking, sitting and then have to ride the carts again, I am bad off enough to go back for shots. I suppose he will do surgery if it gets worse. His staff has always been friendly and courteous. For now, I'll still go to him.

I personally don't care about how "bad" a bedside manner a dr has. They are busy people, I want to get my problem fixed and go home... I feel like Dr. Perry spent time with me at my appointment and explained things clearly, we even went over my MRI. I have heard good things about him through word of mouth from many different people. As I am not originally from the area, I think it's important to do a little research on some of the drs. What I experienced vs the reviews here don't match up. Had I only gone off these reviews, I probably would have not had the visit. But he was a nice guy, we laughed a little, had serious talk, I did cry a little -- but it's because I am super emotional right now with my back pain, I have been crying a lot already... Ha poor guy, I'm sure that was awkward for him, as it would probably be for anyone... But other than waiting an hour in the waiting room- which is going to happen anywhere that has a decent dr, --everything was great. I don't know why you… wouldn't want to go see Dr. Perry for lower back pain. Your biggest concern ought to be "is he a good surgeon?" At least, that's my biggest concern. Let's fix my back and move on:)

This doctor is quick with ugly words and never seems to care about the pain you are in. Any human being that can treat the ederly the way he does has a special place at the end of their life.He'll get everything back.....A Shame to the medical profession!! Please find another doctor!!

avoid him at all cost,he works for the ins companies(SUB STANDARD) and a disgrace to the medical profession.

When you arrive, be prepared to wait for 45min-2hours+ in very uncomfortable chairs, when you get to the back, you wait some more, when he finally comes in, he is in there 5-7min. while he is in there he is VERY rude, talks down to you like you are annoying him, when you are trying to understand what is the problem since we are not the doctor and are relying on his professional medical opinion he wont explain anything to you, or ask you if there is any pain, what is the problem. A few times ive had to block the door from him running out so he would address my problem. He is the worst doctor i have ever met, however his staff are nicer than he is, but if you need a refill of meds or need to call them for a problem, dont plan on getting a call back that day or possibly the next. I have went to see him for the last 4 years, THIS IS MY WARNING TO YOU! AVOID THIS IDIOT AT ALL COST!

I wouldn't recommend this doctor even for a pet's exam. he is horrible, extremely rude,treats you like you are the problem and won't listen to you at all. I am 56 years old and he talked to me like I was 5.

First of all the wait time is never less than 2 hours, when I get in to see him he spends very little time with me and doesn't seem concerned with my problems and pain. He has the worst bedside manner and is extremely rude. I would not recommend him to anyone. I have been several times only because I had to see him for follow up appointments and this has been my experience every time.

I heard many things about him but after going my own opionion is he is a great doctor
