Unnecessarily removes moles for billing purposes. Poor excisions skills that leave pain and scarring

Dr. Poulton has great side bed manner. You have to try and push his buttons a bit to pull it out of him but he is a funny guy and has always helped me with my problems. This Doctor is a class act.

I went to see Dr. Poulton for a routine skin exam at the recommendation of my PCP. He spent less than 3 minutes total with me, and didn’t even check all parts of my body. The appointment was so rushed that I never had the chance to remind him that he left a third of my body unchecked before he was out the door and on to his next patient. I did not feel listened to, and left feeling like another check on his to-do list. I would not recommend anyone to experience what I did.

I’ve had my second visit this week with Dr. Poulton and so far nothing he described has worked. My appointments don’t last very long. There is also a rude, aggressive, and unprofessional front desk personnel. Needles to say I won’t be going back.

With the 2 yr old diagnosis of Lymes and more recent menopause I have been experiencing a lot of face and skin issues. As well I have extra sensitive skin and eczema. I felt that Dr. Poulton did not listen to my needs and I left the office no better than when I arrived. He suggested cosmetic surgery for some related issues but he never addressed the main problem...finding products that my face could tolerate without damaging my skin. Also, as a woman, it bothered me that he grabbed at my clothing without warning or telling me ahead of time why he was doing it. It turned out he was looking for a rash but I didn't like it. There was a woman in the room but I still would have preferred forewarning.

I will not return to this doctor

I've seen my share of bad doctors so when I come across those that practice their craft well I think they deserve to be rewarded with a glowing review. Dr. Poulton conducted a full-body examination of my skin a few months ago. He then removed several moles from my back the same day. I was very pleased with every aspect of my visit. The staff was courteous, the rooms were all very clean and Dr. Poulton was very thorough in his examination and also very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to answering my questions. Prior to seeing Dr. Poulton I personally reviewed dozens of dermatologists on sites like this and narrowed my choices down to 3 primarily based up on how thorough previous patients found their dermatologist's exam to be. Then I set up an appointment with whichever one could see me the soonest. Dr. Poulton lived up to my highest expectations and I strongly recommend him.

I was extremely satisfied with this Doctor. The only reason that I was not able to make an appointment was the fact that he was booked well in advance and that says alot of this Doctor. There are 3 Dermatologists at this office at Franklin Square Hospital; however, once I got there, it became easier for follow-up appointments. I need to go to his office at least twice monthly for 6 months. I was extremely satisfied with his knowledge and he answered all of my questions and asked me plenty of questions, also. He has an assistant who was very thorough, who gathered most of my information. I have no complaints and am very pleased with him and intend to keep him as my Dermatologist. I have had another, who wasn't that concerned or interested in my problem other than cosmetic things.

I went to Dr. Poulton's Severna Park office and was very happy with my office experience. The staff was courteous and Dr. Poulton was attentive and did a great job diagnosing my skin problem. Overall, I was very happy
