Dr. James Ruben Schwartz, MD

This man is a lying, liar who lies. He is not an unbiased physician, but a physician who is getting paid by the the government of insurance company to make false statements disputing patients' claims who are genuinely in pain as a result of work. I was furious when I discovered that he dismissed all of my complaints claiming that there is no medical literature supporting carpel tunnel "from typing, no matter how long or extensive". What a liar. It is called repetitive strain injury you incompetent, imbecile. He also will try to blame any other ailments that you may have for the complaints of which he is not a specialist and has no business speculating. If anyone is referred to this conman, I would steer clear of him or dispute whatever he says because he has no sense of decency and is an incompetent, liar.

for a car injury accident which I suffered debilitating pain. he did not read mri's just asked me questions in a makeshift office in Oregon. Refused to show me ID and reported to Geico I had a "bizarre" case. Would recommend other car insurance as this guy is a quack, I'm 64 years old and I'm not an idiot such as he treated me like one.

I liked Dr. Swartz . Seemed fine to me,not sure about all these bad reviews.

No chitchat. Gets the job done. Some might did him a bit curt.

Dr. Schwartz is quack. He does not listen to the patient, He keeps me waiting in the exam room for no less than an hour each visit. He refuses to prescribe medication that was given to me by another Dr. for pain that actually worked. He sent me to RMH for steroids (epidural) even after I told him I had sever side effects to it. 24 hours after the shots I ended up in the ER. It took him a year to give me a cortisone shots that work but only for 5 weeks at the most. These shots should only be given every 6 weeks at the most but since they don't last me that long and after about 4 weeks I'm in so much pain I can hardly move he injects me every 4 to 5 weeks and has been doing this for a few months now. The shots are not healing anything just masking the pain, I have asked on several occasions to refer me to a pain management specialist and he refuses. I am still under his care as this is workers comp and not much I can do about it at this point but when all is said and done I will seek my… own Dr. and serve him with a malpractice suit because I believe if he had of done right in the beginning I would have healed a long time ago. I would tell anyone that if they are referred to Dr. Schwartz....RUN and run far. He has no business in this profession and he will do exactly what he wants and he will never listen to the patient.

he made a mistake during surgery!

I was seen by Dr. Schwartz for my neck/right arm pain. I had been diagnosed with a herniated disc by our family physician. I was prescribed for strong steroids for the pain and was recommended to go for physical therapy. I was also asked to stay out of work for a while. First of all Dr. Schwartz could not understand my X-ray which I provided him. He had to looked at the radiologist report and counted the neck disc based on the report. This is so odd for an orthopedic surgeon. Then when I explained to him about the nature of my job that is sitting in front of the computer for at least 8 hrs per day with no break, he said that computer works have nothing to do with neck or arm. He did not have any scientific explanations and believed that my problem was simply a bad luck. Above all, he walked into the room with a tape-recorder and I felt invaded of my privacy.I made an appointment with another doctor.
