I had both knees replaced by Dr Shapiro. Excellent result and I was back in my normal routine in no time with each surgery. I would recommend this doctor to anyone needing this procedure done.

Excellent done hip replacement, he had a warmth about him that made my anxiety before surgery go away, only con was he didnt help my pain after surgery very well.

OK so my appointment was ordered by my physician following up an abnormal bone scan and MRI. First off the staff in the office were fantastic. This is the second appt. in my life with Dr Shapiro. Last appt. was over 25 yrs ago he has matured a lot since then. Doctor was very professional took the time to review my films and explain my options. He recommended not having surgery but to wait 10 yrs for advances in medicine. There was a bit of confusion before I left the office so I went back to see him and he went over the options again of surgery or waiting for stem cell advances. I agreed to wait upon his recommendation. Well I had to get a copy of the report for my attorney and to my shock when i read it - there are standard ?'s the doc has to answer. These were all filled out as normal - one question in particular caught me by surprise it was patient walk with gait, he checked that it was normal. HOW can it be when I need double hip replacement and have a cyst in the socket of one.… Then in the report he didn't mention that he recommended to wait on the surgery, he wrote patient refused - um negative - I took the advise of my doctor and made a medical decision to wait. Come on KENOSHA doctors wake up and do diligence with your record keeping. This as a result has negatively effected my disability benefit - not that I was in there for this. I wanted to know why I felt like I was getting kicked in the groin - thanks Dr. Shapiro for kicking me again. If you want to see me walk with a gait then you should take me out for a walk. I would be able to see my dog walk with a gait if he had problems with his hips. What a rant but if you are here to help then help. I suggest these doctors record the info in front of the patients in case of erroneous errors.

THIS DR. IS COLD AS ICE AND HAS NO COMPASSION FOR A PATIENTS PAIN. WOULD RATHER SEE A PATIENT TAKE A MEDICATION THAT THEY ARE ALLERGIC TO RATHER THAN CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND GET A RELATIVELY SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE DRUG APPROVED. ONE OF THE WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER HAD. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO TREAT MY DOG. EVEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS APPALLED BY HIS BEHAVIOR AND IS FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST HIM TOO. ONE STAR IS MORE THAN HE DESERVES! NEVER CAUGHT THE BLOOD CLOT IN MY LEG EITHER......STUPID AND CARELESS TO SEE THE LEAST. MISSED THE RUPTURED BURSA AND LOOSE LIGAMENT. YOU WANT TO SEE HIM ????

My initial impression was very favorable, but seemed to busy for any follow up . Ended up in ER due to complications.
