I had to initiate conversations about recommended level of activity, and the need for physical therapy during recovery. I had been told by my prep nurse on the day of my procedure that PT would be required, but was advised by Dr. Shorten that it was only initiated if requested by the patient.The nurse/assistant who removed my stitches and applied bandages was very thorough and provided clear care instructions.

The PA was very thorough, it felt as though I was his only patient. He took his time reviewing my case and going over post suture removal instructions and took time to answer my questions.

Fortunately, but unfortunately (because I'm paying for a specialist visit), there was no additional news about the recent injury of my foot. I'm relieved that it isn't worse, while at the same time disappointed that there is no very little, except extensive surgery with a long recovery, that can be done.
