Dr. William Sukovich, MD

I have not had an appointment with Dr Sukovich. My experience with him is through a Peer to Peer call he had yesterday with my surgeon who recommended a procedure to finally alleviate decades of pain in my lower back. Dr Suckovich represented United Healthcare. And because my pain and condition did not meet the criteria of the boxes he was checking I was flatly denied care by UHC. Dr Sukovich has never met me. I am a disabled veteran and a retired Police Officer with almost 30 years on the street. He has never seen me pull myself across the floor because there was no one to lift me. He has not seen me take an hour and a half to get into bed because severe pain would not allow me to raise my body more than six inches above the floor. He has never been there when I could not get out of a bath tub and end up slithering out like a snake with a broken back. He hasn’t been there for the numerous injections, epidurals, nerve ablations. I am a muscular 63 year old. I take very… good care of myself. I never miss a payment to UHC and hoped I could count on them to allow me to undergo the necessary procedure to stop this screaming pain. It is UHC’s policy that surgery is not necessary to alleviate severe back pain. I have several bulging, herniated discs. A gift I received serving the citizens. Though hurt I continued. Feeling that upon retirement I could be helped. Not according to Dr Sukovich.

He operated twice on me in Tampa Florida in 2015. The operations were on my lumbar spine. He put no appliances in me. I have been pain ever since. Had it not been for Dr. Sukovich. I probably wouldn’t be here now. This man is an angel with a scalpel.

This man is an excellent physician who serves his patients well in the operating room an in the courtroom.
