Dr. James Paul Sieradzki, MD

Dr. Sieradski is a superb surgeon. Over the years, I've had a partial knee replacement on each knee. I was walking unassisted in 10 days. Both healed properly and quickly. He uses a robot. So advanced and oh so good!

Dr. Sieradski doesn't spend as much time with his patients chit chatting but he did an excellent job replacing my hip. Surgical skills are more important to me than social skills.

Two appointments with this doctor and he talked to his nurse more than he looked at my knee issue. Second visit he said that all he could do is a Cortizone shot, in so much pain with this swollen knee. But he said it wasn't bad enough to have surgery on it I can barely walk and I'm walking with a cane . No bedside manner very rude no expression on his face not very friendly will never go back to him again

I went in due to knee and ankle pain. I previously had ankle surgery at South Bend Orthopedics when I had fractured my left ankle. Abnormal growth/healing had taken place in my ankle and had caused some excess bone accumulation. This had been causing my knee significant discomfort due to the misalignment of my left leg caused by the ankle. Dr. Sieradzki looked at my knee and and concluded my knee seemed to have some fluid and some tendonitis. I know what tendonitis feels like, Im an athlete. After voicing my desire to go forward and get an MRI, he argued strongly against. I asked to see x-rays (on file) of my broken ankle and he showed me an X-ray. The problem was...he was showing me the X-ray of my RIGHT ankle (the perfectly normal ankle) and continued to say how it looked fine and had heal perfectly normal! He had the nerve to make me look like a fool and showed me the wrong ankle! It wasnt until I was about to leave that I demanded to view the ankle one more time, again he pulls up… the RIGHT ankle X-ray, I said to him "this is not my left ankle" from there he said "Oh.." and finally showed me the LEFT ankle and the abnormal bone growth was apparent! I was beyond frustrated and demanded to reschedule with another Doctor. Did I mention Dr. Sieradzki is a partial Owner of South Bend Orthopedic, and I suspect certain financial interest is a reason he continued to attempt to avoid the issue of my ankle (I had my original surgery with South Bend Orthopedic). The whole visit was a waste of time and I should find the original surgeon that performed my surgery.

I went in and had shots of cortisone in each knee and he was extremmely nice and listened when I said I was very nervous about it. He completely put me at ease.
