Dr. James Arthur Simon

Dr. Simon was easy to understand and explained everything in great detail and also took time to make certain we understood. My father is almost 98 years old and has in the past felt ignored and pushed aside because of his age in other doctor’s offices. Dr. Simon took time with us and set up a plan methodically step-by-step for the best approach for my father’s treatment. I cannot say enough good things about this office. The staff was extremely kind, respectful and helpful. Thanks for helping my father feel valuable. My Dad is a WWII Navy Veteran and we appreciate Dr. Simon working with our Veterans!

Professional, knowledgeable, explains everything in an easy way for non-medical people to understand. Really in listens to patient and family members that have questions.

Seems professional enough. However, immediately after I had a surgery I had told him that something was not right and I couldn’t P because it gave me excruciating pain. He said it was all part of the process and sent me home on my way. He took off for the weekend to go skiing. Fine by me. So as apprehensive as I was about urinating I held it because I was afraid of the consequence. I couldn’t sleep anyhow but around 4 o’clock in the morning I can’t hold it any longer so I went to test it out. I could feel my bladder emptying but urine was coming out. I immediately began to sweat my heart rate shot through the roof and although I live directly across from the hospital I had to call an ambulance. I was in so much misery and pain for the next 10 or 12 hours my heart rate at the time I went into the emergency room was over 160 bpm. They eventually rolled me up to the hospital room and just let me lay there in misery with no word of advice what to do. I could see the nurse come in… occasionally to see if I was still alive is what I thought because I was sweating the whole afternoon into it I was so sick. And I thought I was dying. I was finally able to vomit and the nastiest fluid I’ve ever seen came out of my mouth something I’ve never smelled before smell like chemicals. At least that brought my temperature down a couple degrees.I had a lot of questions but nobody was telling me what happened including the doctor. It wasn’t until Monday morning when he came in and didn’t even say anything no mention to me whatsoever of what was going on. I had to ask him. He seemed annoyed that I would even bother him with the question of what happened. He told me that I “popped my stitches out”. Skirting around any accountability in one sentence. Pretty eloquent. After I looked at him and just stared he said what you wouldn’t have died. Well, I didn’t die obviously but that is as close as I have ever felt to dying.The stitches he was talking about were the ones that showed my ureter to my bladder kind of a big thing. I’ve always thought about that day and I’ll probably never forget it just the feeling of hopelessness. I felt that let down. And before he left to Oklahoma he stopped my prescription for Flomax which is pretty essential to my kidneys functioning. He had even stop by my house when I was working on my car and told me that he would put it in for a refill. But now I have fallen on deaf ears once again. I guess it’s easier to blow people off when you’re out of the state. But an explanation of his actions Would have been nice. But then again I really didn’t expect much after the first incident

Dr. Simon is the best in Colorado Springs. I would recommend him to anyone. He has the best bedside manner ever. I never left his office with questions but with answers. Thank you Dr. Simon!

We saw Dr. Simon for the first time this morning. We found him very knowledgeable, personable and easy to talk to and is an excellent listener.

Will tell you one thing to your face, then have his staff tell you something else over the phone. Absolutely spineless and incredibly unprofessional.

I’ve been seeing dr Simon for 4 months. He was never able to diagnose me, I have been in pain, have blood in my urine and was just told “I don’t know what’s wrong with you”. I finally made appointments in Maryland/Washington DC to have more resources. I was diagnosed with something Dr. Simon said he was positive I didn’t have. He forgets to call you back. I called to ask for a referral for physical therapy. The lady up front said “I talked with all the ladies up front and we can’t help you”. She never asked Dr. simon. They just wanted me to go away!! Very very bad experience!!

My husband has been seeing Dr. Simon regularly for several years. His staff is top notch friendly and helpful. He has always received excellent reliable care. When a problem occurs, they always manage to get him in within a reasonable time period. Dr. Simon explains procedures in common understandable terms. Highly recommend this physician.

Been a patient with Dr Simon for over 14 years. He has done multiple surgeries and procedures to keep my kidney healthy. Would totally trust him
