Dr. James Craig Spencer

Dr. Spencer breezed through an appointment without caring or listening to my concerns. To add insult to injury, I was charged almost twice that of a regular appointment because I didn’t use the correct wording when scheduling my appointment online. I don’t work in the insurance or medical industry so how am I supposed to know that! Now I’ve paid twice as much money took off half a day of work to know NOTHING more about my health. I would keep looking if I were you.

He was rude,hurried and just could have cared less. Will never ever return nor will my family.

This is a doc who takes his time to get to know his patients. He's very thorough and attentive. You never feel rushed as you might with other doctors who whisk in after the tech has done most of the work-up, chat for a minute then whisk out. I'm glad to have Dr. Spencer as my family physician.

My son had been trying to get me to switch PCP's after many years of complaining about my prior doctor. I found Dr. Spencer professional, genuine, kind, concerned, and willing to take the time to actually listen. I also found the support staff friendly. I am glad I made the change.

Listens, does not rush, looks me in the eye. I feel he really cares and I can talk to him about anything. I am very comfortable going to him. My last doctor rushed me in and out and didn't look at me when he talked. Dr. Spencer is just the opposite and is just great. I highly recommend him.

Dr Spencer will talk to you and tell you what he thinks. He has a keen understanding that your health is a team issue...that is, your health is you, your feelings, and what he finds. I have been a patient of his for over 10 years. I am very happy. I trust him. He listens. He cares. Go see him, talk to him. You won't be sorry. I trust him with my life.

Dr. Spencer may practice in connection with a large "Doc in the Box" institution, but he is anything but that. He takes the time to know his patients, never rushing you through the process like cattle -- which is what you get with many doctors nowadays. If you're looking for a personal, doctor-to-patient relationship, give him a call.

Dr. Spencer is a good doctor. You can tell he cares about you. Everytime I call to see if he can work me in, the front office staff acts like they dont want to work me in. They say he is all booked up. But then they say they are going to put me on hold and they are going to ask him if he can see me. Then they get back on the phone and say "yes he can see you." I get to the office and I can tell the staff are truly really buisy. Sometimes the waiting room is full so I know Dr. Spencer's schedule was really booked up. When I get back there to see him I get the vib that he is stressed and is working as fast as he can but he will still sit there with me and answer all my questions, he does not talk fast of talk over me. He makes shore he does not miss anything and always asks me if he has answered all my questions and never leaves the room without asking me if there is anything else he can do for me. I feel really safe and taken care of. His front office staff leaves alot to be desired… however. Most of them have worked there a long time and they must be good at their jobs, I really believe that is the only reason Dr. Spencer does not fire most of them. I have told him how one girl is always hateful and I can tell by the look on his face that it makes him mad to hear that the front office is so cold. There is one girl that you can really tell he does not like. There are many people who could do her job, I guess he does not fire her because he is so kind hearted. Everytime I call to ask a question or get a refill on my medication, her tone of voice is like, "I don't want to talk to you, I don't care about you, you are bothering me, I'd be happy if I never had to answer this phone ever again!!" When i check in, she flashes a fake smile at first then the rest of the time she has a look on her face like she hates the whole world. If i dont understand what she says or I dont hear what she says, she acts like I am stupid and get really frustrated. Everyone in the waiting room talks bad about her. I dont have to say her name, EVERYONE knows who I am talking about. I would still recommend Dr. Spencer to everyone. He always works me in no matter how buisy he is because he really cares about his patients. He does not do test that are not needed but he will make shore he does not leave any stone unturned. I love this doctor!!
