No one answers phone and won't give a call back.

After a few days, I was able to make an appointment. Unfortunately I realized I needed to change it. I have been leaving messages for days now with no call back.

The front office is run very unprofessionally. They said I didn't have a scheduled appt. when I did. When they looked somewhere else they saw it. They were rude as well. The place is also very old and messy. didn't really care for the dr. I felt he was pushing me towards testing for sleep apnea. I was there for lung tests. I told him I don't snore and thats not why I was there.

I have known two other people who have gone to Doctor Steel and they have all had the same experience as myself. Unlike them, my insurance doesn't allow me to go anywhere else without paying out of pocket but I, like them, will not go back to such a poorly run office and uncaring doctor. Dr, Steele wasted months of time and multiple appointments to get me on a machine so I could breath at night and get some sleep, (the whole time I was dealing with the rudest most unprofessional and uncaring staff of people). It seems after patients become dependent on a machine, and need new equipment parts or services, you will be left for weeks at a time dealing with his poorly organized office when all he needed to do was write a prescription. I experienced missed appointment where no one showed up at all and TWO HOUR long waiting times is the norm! I stopped going when my machine broke and they said it would be a month and a half before they could get me in for a new prescription to get it fixed.… How could they expect anyone to go without sleep for a month and a half? TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, practice. Don't take the risk. Go anywhere else.

Met Dr. Steele @ his “office” in Lakeport, Ca. Enviorment was dusty, with office furniture that probably wouldn’t sell @ a garage sale..Pretty shabby looking....Wait Rm. was a hallway with a few very worn pcs.. of furniture.. A Pulmoary function test was completed by a technician, whom was very knowledgeable of admin. of test. It took approx. 5 calls to have results of the test, sent to the MD. who ordered it. When Dr.Steele entered, he was very hurried, seem distracted & very unorganized. Lung sounds never done, odd, with a complaint of shortness of breath.. During this visit, Dr Steele kept leaving the rm. with no explanation of why. Not a good experience. BIG waste of time ...Do yourself a favor, find another Pulmonologist...

Not time to talk. Talked faster and faster, consistent with many visits.

I went to this doctor for lung problems, which he told me was my cat. But then he launched into such a dramatic sales pitch for a cpap machine and sleep study I was stunned. I felt I did not have a problem with sleep apnea. There are not any factors pointing that way. So I think he is just pushing a side business.

Excellent pulmonologist. The Sleep Center really helped me out.
