Best doctor I have ever seen. Too bad I moved 300 miles away. Almost think it's worth it to drive there every month.

Dr. Sturmi is very personable and easy to talk to. He is very conscientious and seems to take a genuine interest in the fine details of his patientâ??s health and life. He spent a huge amount of time with me on my first couple of visits to get a full understanding of my health and concerns. He considers the cost and options of treatment and concerns and offered alternate treatments and samples of new medication. He is very willing to educate and inform me in health conditions and issues in detail.

Went to see Dr. Sturmi for pain in legs and subsequent weakness that severely restricted my ambulation. He was fixated from the beginning that I had a femoral stress fracture although his physical exam was superficial. He ordered x-rays - no fracture noted but that's not necessarily telling. He then ordered an MRI of the femur; would not consider anything but a femoral stress fx despite my pain in the hip and groin and my personal medical history. There was, of course, no evidence of a stress fracture or any other abnormality in the MRI. He was all but certain of his diagnosis despite all clinical evidence to the contrary and my own history of the pain and limited mobility. Went to OSU and a physician and she immediately determined the cause to be lack of muscle strength and started me on a physical therapy regime. I'm a PhD clinician.....cannot recommend Sturmi for any reason other than his love to spend money on unnecessary tests. He lacks clinical judgment and has poor critical… thinking skills. Evidence-based practice is not in his vocabulary.
