Dr. James Tovey, MD

"Do Not Go To See Dr. James Tovey… I went in after experiencing constant foot pain in both feet for the past three weeks…. He proceeded to tell me “you’re just getting to a certain age, you are wearing the wrong shoes… take ibuprofen” I am 23 years old. He told me you can run and walk for exercise. I attempted to run and walk again took ibuprofen like he said and only wore supportive tennis shoes. I was still in so much pain but felt so unseen and unheard I got a second opinion. Turns out I had 3 stress fractures just in my left foot and every single bone in my foot is extremely inflamed. My current Dr. shocked as to how this happened, at a loss of words seeing the state of my feet and most importantly how Dr. James Tovey let me walk out of the office given the state I was in. Because of his “treatment” I have further damaged my feet and lengthened the healing process. You should be ashamed of yourself to brush a patient in that much pain so easily.

I should have relied on my first impressions of this guy, but I didn't. I broke my wrist in December and found out in May that he should have set my wrist before casting it. Result: I need surgery to repair what he didn't fix the first time. 5 MONTHS, THREE X-RAYS AND PHYSICAL THERAPY.....A BIG WASTE of my time, not to mention the pain, not being able to rest my arm comfortably, with limited range of motion. When I asked him why he didn't set it to begin with, I got the most ridiculous answer: "We have certain guidelines that we follow" "besides, a lot of people need a surgery after it's healed improperly." What a load of nonsense. I plan on filing suit. He must be held accountable. His "practice" of medicine is a danger to anyone who walks into his office.

He is an overconfident jerk. He has very poor bedside manner. I saw Dr. TOVEY for years. He replaced both my knees. I’ve had serious complications, including another surgery bc of his inept capabilities

Dr. TOVEY maimed me. He replaced my knee and fractured my kneecap. He told me he did it. I had to have a revision surgery to repair his botched knee replacement. He never told me complications, now I’m told this is something that happens! I don’t have a kneecap bc of him. Many activities of day are impacted bc of his botched surgery.

Will have you wait a long time to see him in the waiting room. Dirty Office Staff are yelling at each other from across the rooms. Terrible examination Overall not a pleasant experience Truly do not recommend

All I can say is thank you a million times .His team and his excellent knowledge gave me so much hope I literally awoke from surgery to tears of joy. Thank you
