Dr. James Wilson Vick, MD

Dr. Vick is cold, uncaring, and has a poor bedside manner. I went to him most of my teenage life, and I never felt like he was great, but I also didn't know any different. When I returned to the area post-college, I began seeing him again. He wrote off any concern I had and would always say I sounded "depressed" and wanted to prescribe me antidepressants, which I would never accept. A month after my first child was born, I woke up one morning in excruciating pain all over my body. Days went by, and it got worse instead of better. I went to Dr. Vick so confused and scared. The only words he had for me were that nothing seemed to be physically wrong with me and he felt I was making it up so that I didn't have to go back to work and that I probably wanted him to write me a note so that I could stay home with my new son. I was floored. I decided from that day forward I would never be his patient again. After becoming my advocate and making appointments with almost every doctor under the… sun, I finally ended up in a rheumatologist's office and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sixteen years later I am living with this devastating disease and finally sought the help of a holistic doctor. After four visits with him, I am closer to answers than I have ever been after 16 years with conventional doctors who are molded and spit out by big pharma. Doctors aren't always right, and Dr. Vick is no exception.

The office desk staff is terrible. You get put on hold 4 or 5 times trying to make an appointment. Ultimately, I was cut off and had to start all over again. They seem understaffed and when you finally get to speak with someone she is eating something while speaking with you. Very unprofessional front desk.

Dr Vick is great and so most of the staff except for one.

Dr. Vick is the most courteous Dr. and most knowledgeable I have ever been to! He treats ME, as a person and what is best for me. I feel like he realizes that we are all different, takes time to speak with me. Does not talk to me while I'm still undressed, gives me time to get dressed and then speak in his office. HIGHLY impressed!
