I hope this is the right Dr Weyand! - in the early 1980s, early one morning I went to the equivalent of urgent care with what turned out to be a ruptured fallopian tube from a double pregnancy, one uterine, one fallopian. After an emergency D&C Dr Weyand set up a 1st thing in the morning exam at Group Health to confirm what he *already knew*. After ultrasound etc I went to the lead surgeon's office for results. Dr Weyand was there. He had already been up all night. I was told I was scheduled for immediate surgery. When I asked about alternatives I was told that if I went home instead I'd die. Dr Weyand stayed to perform the surgery. The damage and resulting infection from the ruptured tube, and from previous undiagnosed PID was so advanced that it took almost 4 hr of surgery including removal of that tube & ovary. Repairs included trying to salvage the remaining tube so that I might still be able to have a normal pregnancy. ... Dr Weyand saved my life. Without his skill at assessment… and treatment, I, my son and my two grandchildren would not exist. I can never thank him enough. Whether Dr Weyand is still practicing medicine, or advising ... he is exceptional. CPF
