Dr. James Henry Whiteside, MD

I had been suffering in vain without a diagnosis for two years before I met Dr. Whiteside. He heard me talk about my symptoms for a few minutes and immediately told me they were seizures, and he was 100% right. He worked with me as I had issues with the medications and his office is usually pretty good about getting back quickly, especially when it matters. When they got the results of my MRI, he called me himself a few hours later to let me know. He's definitely quick and he knows what he's talking about so he doesn't waste anyone's time. He helped me immensely.

I have an incurable rare chronic condition that flares up on occasion. Dr. Whiteside has responded promptly and skillfully to my episodes and has reached out to experts around the country for advice. I very much appreciate his excellent care and professional manner.

I waited 3 1/2 months for this appointment. He spent less than 10 minutes in the room, didn't look me in the eye when he spoke, didn't even notice I held out my hand for him to shake it when he walked in the room. His diagnosis was vague and was not explained. He prescribed a medication and gave me no information on follow up. He completed disregarded my symptom journal I kept to discuss with him. Never looked at it or referenced it once. Avoid this doctor.

Dr. Whiteside didn’t care about my request to prescribe original medication lamictal. I told him that I had bad experience with generic. He lied to me that there are not a problem to prescribe the medications I took for 15 years. And I’ll file the complaint against Dr Whiteside because he didn’t care about my request to prescribe the original medication lamictal .

I recently experienced a temporary loss of vision. Dr. Whiteside had me in St. Luke’s for tests immediately, and he telephoned me with the results as soon as available. He explained my episode in clear language and prescribed a therapeutic course of action, all within 24 hours. Very impressive.

I was an inpatient for a stroke. I can not say enough platitudes regarding Dr Whitesides care.

5 I recently had an appointment with Dr. Whiteside and was exceedling pleased with the doctor and his staff. Dr. Whiteside was very thorough in the examination and provided me and my general practioner with a comphrehensive written report. I am a retired dentist, and I was most impressed with Dr. Whiteside's knowledge, competence, and manner. I recommend him most highly.

Dr. Whiteside gave me a speedy diagnosis to a very confounding, rare illness. Southwest Oklahoma will miss having such a fine neurologist!
