Dr. James Jing Zhang, MD

Very Courteous, prompt, and efficient with visit. Care provided was very good.

This Dr. is probably good at what he does, however, I did not feel comfortable with the level of communication that I received during my appointment. I was advised by him to have an unnecessary test, after showing no signs of the condition that he would be testing for. He also informed that it was quite a dangerous test that could lead to a medical emergency. It made no sense to me as to why this occurred as my referring physician did not order this additional test. I was satisfied with the group but did not feel comfortable with this particular Dr.

I injured my calf which was verified in an emg. However, instead of starting with an MRI of that area, I was scheduled for MRI's of my brain, back, pelvis, and knee. Finally, I got the MRI of my calf, which didn't show nerve damage. If we had started there, not only would I have saved thousands in costs, but I'd be at a different doctor and maybe more on the road to recovery sooner.

I absolutely love Dr. Zhang. He stays on top of your problem and makes sure you are improving. He explains everything. Great staff too.

This man works extremely hard. I was absolutely DISGUSTED that some of you could insult this doctor without even using proper grammar or spelling. He works hard and is kind.

Dr. Zhang is very kind, compassionate, humble neurologist. He is very thorough, a good listener and takes time to address my issues without making me feel rushed. He works well under pressure because I was very stressed during my first visit and he remained calm and made me feel more at ease.

After waiting an hour and ten minutes to even be addressed by anyone, I was wholeheartedly disappointed with my visit. I received no answers on my primary problem for which I had the appointment because Dr. Zhang got sidetracked by another problem. This other problem could have easily been explained had he taken the time to take a thorough history, but this was skimmed over. I am a nurse practitioner myself and know how frustrating medical diagnoses can be at times, but the amount of care I received from Dr. Zhang and his staff was uncalled for. I was very disappointed and needless to say, I will not be returning.

I had to same as beg for dr to order test that i felt needed to be done. When he finally ordered the exam, I had the results in hand that afternoon and was told they had been sent to the dr. as well. I contacted his office the next day and was told that I would be contacted when they recieved the results, if follow-up was needed. I then contacted another neurologist that saw me within a few days. This true professional ordered two other test as well as going over the results from the two that I finally got dr. Zhang to order. My new dr. immediately refferred me to a neurosurgeon that saw me three days later, and had me in surgery within a week. About a week after my surgery dr. Zhangs office called and wanted to make an appointment for about ten days later. I went ahead and made the appointment, just so I could call and cancel about five minutes prior and to inform them that I had seen a true professional and would be back to work in about two weeks. Dr. Zhang diagnossed me with… essential tremors that was truelly caused by nerve damage, ne sent me to therapy that caused more pain than help. If dr. Zhang would have listened to me, instead of being arrogant and not hearing what I tried to tell him, I would have been able to return to work 4 1/2 months sooner $45000 more in the bank without enduring the pain I did for those months. I would definately not refer anyone to Dr. Zhang.

I was assigned to this doctor during a recent hospital stay. I have to say the group he is part of is a very good one, that said this doctor needs to think about what he says before speaking. He attempted to tell me I had a disorder that is medically impossible to have with a person with MS. I have a confirmed case of PRMS, I have undergone hundreds of thousands of dollars of test including spinal taps, MRI's showing continued growth of the MS. Despite all this medical history he took it upon himself to throw all that out and say the reason I could not move my feet was because of conversion disorder. I truly wish it was the case that I could go talk to someone and this whole thing would be over, but the burden of leasons located throughout my entire spine may be the reason. We all have stress in our lives, but when you have a patient in front of you with 5 years of proven medical history of MS, this doctor needs to be certain what he says is not ruled out according to the very… definition of Conversion Disorder when there is a confirmed neurological condition. Please be sure to have a second opinion. If you happen to have MS I personally recommend as a patient to see another doctor.
