Dr. Jan Forszpaniak, MD

Dr. Forszpaniak is a caring, honest, talented doctor. I have had two breast surgeries performed by him 18 years apart. And I had very little pain. He has compasion and explains everything.

I can't say enough about how qualified and efficient, Dr. Forszpaniak & his office staff are. He & his staff are very kind, considerate, & compassionate. They have moved very swiftly to rid me of breast cancer and all follow-up treatment. I'd never thought I'd have lack of pain following a masectomy. I thank the Lord for leading me to him.

I would highly recommend this physician. He provides straight talk and an honest opinion. My wife and I visited him after going to the "professionals" at Moffitt Center in Tampa, to whom another physician referred us. That experience in Tampa felt like being in a used car dealership where they could not let you leave without purchasing some expensive procedure. Moffitt provided us a stereotactic report, and said my wife needed to go to a very expenses surgical procedure, Due to the terrible experience with Moffitt, we sought a second opinion from Dr. Forszpaniak. He was much more professional, but more importantly honest. He read the Moffitt report and told us flat out that it was not finished. Either the pathologist who prepared the report was incompetent or simply failed to complete. Once he obtained the report, he confirmed that not only was a surgical biopsy not advisable pursuant to the guidelines and protocols of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, but also that… the Moffitt physician who did the needle biopsy had already removed so much tissue using an unnecessarily large needle, that there was nothing left in my wife's breast to surgically remove. If not your first choice, Dr. Forszpaniak should at least be your second. Be wary of doctors trying to sell you as many procedures as possible. The state of our health care industry has become truly troublesome.

Dr. Forszpanlak truly cares for his patients. He is supportive, professional, and an expert in his field. His staff reflects the same positive and kind character. The Doctor is easy to communicate with. He doesn't forget that he is treating the person and not just a problem as so many other doctors are doing.Thank you Doctor and may you continue to bless others!

My friend from New York recommended that I see dr Forszpaniak in Naples,Florida who is a nationally recognized breast cancer surgeon. He did cancer surgery on his family member,my impression of dr Forszpaniak after meeting him was that he was very knowledgeble,compassionate and had excellent bedside manners.I feel very fortunate I had surgery with this doctor,I could call him "painless and scarless"surgeon,he even called me at home the night after my surgery to make sure i was doing well,LB

I was very diseappointed to see a comment and rating report from one individual, it seems unlikely she was a doctors patient evidently a very angry and unhappy person criticizing dr Forszpaniak qualities.It was almost like someone intentionally was trying to insult and purpsely defame this outstanding surgeon and a compassionate doctor!

First, I would like to correct this site, Dr. Jan Forszpaniak is a male, not a female. After removing a tumor from my breast, Dr. Forszpaniak reconstructed the breast so that there wasn't a large indentation of where he removed the tumor. He took extra time and effort in order that the incision site would have minimal scarring.After returning home the day of surgery, he personally called that evening to check on how I was doing. He was also extremely courtesy to my husband in explaining exactly what he was doing and how it turned out.I feel he is an excellent doctor and would highly recommend him.

This was an extremely dissapointing breast consultation.I was looking forward to this visit because I thought that it would help alleviate some of my concerns about my newly diagnosed breast cancer. I brought a list of 32 questions of questions for this doctor (as advised by my my gyn.). Dr. Forszpaniak did not take the time to answer any questions, saying that they were not important. Forszpaniak did not even glance at the questions. He was clueless of the content in the questions.He spoke in a condescending manner, addressing me as "madam" (My professional title is "doctor" ) after I asked some questions about the cancer that he could not answer since he is not an oncologist. He has a very poor bedside manner, and this is not good for women that are vulnerable after a breast cancer diagnosis.I would not recommend this doctor if you want someone to spend time to explain the diagnosis and field questions about your disease disease.--Very bad and sad experience.-- Advice: Find a… different doctor/surgeon who is good and capable of fielding questions.
