Dr. Jane Catherine Fealy, MD

Dr. Fealy has been a complete disappointment; I don't go to the doctor too frequently but when I go I expect someone who shows interest in my health, Dr. Fealy is not that kind of doctor. On every visit she has made me wait more than 30 minutes in the room and when she arrives she want to spend the least of time as possible. I am 38 years old and I understand that some conditions start showing after one becomes 35 but Dr. Fealy has one standard answer for almost every concern I have, "it's normal, it is age related" and she doesn't even take the time to ask more questions or check areas where I have pain or anything. I have been extremely patient and given plenty of opportunities for her to change my perception of her lack of quality service and professionalism but on my last visit I decided I needed to change my doctor immediately. I scheduled an appointment for an overdue pap smear; once again I had to wait for a long time in the room. Dr. Fealy arrived and prepared to perform the… pap test, a nurse was present, she introduced the instrument they use for this procedure and I started experiencing extreme pain and discomfort (I have never had kids), I have no idea what size of instrument she was using but the procedure was extremely painful, I told her I was feeling a lot of discomfort and pain, she said "relax" and continued to open the instrument even more, I couldn't stand the pain anymore and told her about it but she showed zero empathy and said "we are almost done" she finally removed the instrument, stood up and said, ok the results will be ready by next week, you can dress up now and left the room and so did the nurse. I realized that I was bleeding, the sheet was stained and I never heard not even an "I'm sorry" from her. Luckily I had a feminine pad in my purse and I used it, when I got out of the room, I saw the nurse nearby, I approached her and told her that I was bleeding, she said "oh, it is normal, do you need a feminine pad?" Donâ??t make the mistake of selecting Dr. Fealy as your health provider; you will regret it in the near future. My experience with her has been terribly distressing.
