Dr. Jane Zimetbaum Wachs, MD

She was incredibly cold and did not bother to email me the results of my blood work. When I reached out to her, she deferred me to my eye doctor and ignored my questions about lupus and RA. I'll be seeking a second opinion.

Sadly I had to choose 1 star because it would not allow me to leave a review. She should be called the ice queen because she has no bedside manner at all... I went to this Dr. for RA and she prescribed Methotrexate. At some point I heard a crackling in my chest when breathing and I ended up having Pulmonary Fibrosis from the medication. Imagine a Doctor taking your blood pressure and weighing you each visit but never putting a stethoscope to your chest to listen to your lungs. Her response was "how do I know I am not a Pulmonologist." When I explained to her that I have Pulmonary Fibrosis from the Methotrexate she prescribed, she didn't even flinch nor has she ever taken any responsibility? Because of her neglect I now have another disease!!! Go to Columbia Presbyterian and see a Rheumatologist, they know what they are doing!!! Doesn't WestMed monitor their Doctors at all???? If they did monitor her, she would not still be practicing!!!

I saw Dr. Wachs at Westmed in Yonkers. I was pleased with her bed side manner I know bedside manner because I have seen many doctor in the 25 years since I was diagnosed with RA. she I discussed my medication regime and tests that i needed to get done. She examined me and when she was finished.We went back to her office and she updated my prescriptions. She informed that she will like to see me in 8 weeks. In my opinion Dr. Wachs appears to be the type of person that is straight forward Dr.

was recommended to go back to dr. wachs who i had seen about a year ago....it is a shame as a member of her family also a doctor was superlative in treatment, follow up and approach...apparently it stopped there...i felt the visit was a waste of time.....differential diagnoses seem to allude her...i wish her well but would not return am going to another rheumatologist

First visit with Dr. Wachs and I was unable to describe most of my symptoms when she said that it sounds like fibromyalgia. Felt like the visit was a total waste of my time. I would not recommend Dr. Wachs to my friends. I will not follow up with her and definitely getting another opinion.

Went to see Dr Wachs will never go back she's very rude didn't really listen to my complains after interview she really wasn't interested in other complaints I had about my issues she said I didn't need blood work because another DR in Westmed took it 3 years ago & it was positive things change in 3 years how u diagnose someone by just touching her joints? Don't bother to go to this DR

If you can avoid going to this doctor. I would recommend it. I confirmed my appointment 3 hours before to only arrive on time to be told me appointment was earlier. After the front desk staff felt bad for me, the dr. Agreed to see me. I waited another 30 min even though I was told she wouldn't be able to see me because she had to catch a flight, for her to come in, tell me I missed my appointment, and then ask what she could do for me since it was only going to be a short visit because I was late (her staff told me the wrong time). I am in the health care profession, had to move surgeries to make my appointment to get treated like that. In fact avoid WESTMED all together. They are getting too large of them to handle. There are a few exceptions for those doctors who still actually care about pts. Select another dr. Even though they are booking out later, it should be a sign that the good ones are worth the wait.

Very disappointed in this doctor and I would never recommend. What was discussed was not written in her papers and it's a shame.

Saw Dr Wachs2x in Yonkers.Visit 1,I request office note.Many inaccuracies.1:many spell/grammar errors 2:info I shared during visit w/her wasnâ??t what she wrote in report.I have many med issues diagnosed w but she reported findings:negative,she ignored facts 3:She misused info I gave her to imply I was not cooperative,ie:I took 1 pill&it upset my stomach so I stopped,I said I tried meds for 1 day&it made me very sick&I had to stop.She also told me to increase a med I told her I was having a hard time tolerating,so I tried slowly. My new Rheumatologist told me that she'd never increase this med to the level Dr. Wachs insisted. 2nd visit,told Wachs I had a disability hearing coming+need office note asap.One of my many ills:fibromyalgia, new Rheuma for 2nd opin said fibromyalgia is not curable w/meds.Wachs wrote if I took the meds as ordered,most/all symptoms would go away.Wachs deliberately wrote more lies in note to sabotage my case.Beware of Dr Wachs:incompetent.Stay away w disability… case,she will sabotage/frown upon you.
