Summary
I am a native Tucsonan with my roots anchored deep in this desert soil. Both my grandfathers came to Arizona shortly after statehood, seeking, of all things, good health. My parents actually remember when The Lodge on the Desert was truly in the desert. I attended the University of Arizona for undergraduate and medical school, and residency as well. Following my pediatric residency I was asked to stay an extra year as a chief resident. During this year I was recruited to join Catalina Pediatrics, which was an honor as I felt this to be the most stable and well respected pediatric practice in Tucson. In fact, Catalina Pediatrics has been caring for Tucson's children for over three decades!
At Catalina Pediatrics I have discovered what all my pediatric training didn't prepare me for -- how wonderful it is to share in the joy of a newborn's arrival; to celebrate with his or her parents the attainment of a child's physical, mental, and emotional development; and lastly to educate and …thereby comfort families during times of illness. I enjoy caring for all ages of young people and strive to make our interactions as pleasurable as possible. I have come to realize the act of parenting is by far the most important and challenging role we play in life and, although I may not have all the answers, I hope I can be a source of support.
My interests outside the office include hiking, skiing, and spending time with my two boys.
