Dr. Janet Ruth Endelman, PhD

I sought out Dr. Endelman because of her specialty in helping patients with back pain and stress. She has been incredibly critical to my recovery from excruciating and disabling back pain and toward having a more healthy, less stressful life. I cannot thank her enough. Highly recommend.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Endelman for a while now, and I’ve made some great strides in dealing with some ongoing issues as well as the stresses of daily life. She’s very empathic, knowledgeable and responsive to my questions.

Dr. Endelman was recommended to me by a dear close friend who found her to be practical, grounded, and possessing good common sense. She sang praises of Dr. Endelman and told me counseling with the doctor may be helpful. At first I was taken aback, for like many of us, I did not have a problem that required the assistance of a psychologist. I was the proverbial “Fine.” After some time had passed events in my life had taken a turn and I felt myself in a downward spiral. I was scared and hesitant to reach out to Dr. Endelman, but I remembered how my dear friend raved about how Dr. Endelman’s insight helped her. I have never regretted my decision to call and seek help. I am a work in progress and with the help of Dr. Endelman I am becoming more self confident, less self doubting and feeling more at ease with myself. Dr. Endelman has been very patient and understanding. She graciously worked with me on payments for services when my insurance coverage ended. She did not… belittle or judge me when I called after hours in a panic with what I viewed as a life and death crisis situation - on the contrary, she was calm and level headed. I presented as a “hot mess” and she reeled me in and calmed me down. At the risk of sounding cliche, Dr. Endelman has taught me to be kinder and gentler with myself. In the past I have sought treatment from other psychologists, unfortunately after a few sessions I was left feeling devoid and depressed - I felt ignored, my thoughts and feelings not heard or validated. Dr. Endelman is respectful and interested in helping, yet not afraid to offer introspection that present different aspects to your feelings. Good or bad - food for thought; another view open for examination, introspection. Seeking the help of a psychologist can be unnerving. Finding a person with a personality that you feel comfortable with bearing your inner most thoughts and ‘secrets’ to is difficult and takes time. Dr. Endelman is a good place to start.
